    Thanks, theo. <ok>

Rupert Davies, James Mason, Alec Guinness, Denholm Elliott, Gary Oldman, George Cole and the best, Simon Russell-Beale. The link? :)

That'll do me, theo. They all have. Guinness on TV, Cole and Russell Beale on radio (the latter being the definitive performance IMHO), and the rest in films. Rupert Davies played Smiley in 'The Spy Who Came in from the Cold' alongside Richard Burton as Leamas. Brian Cox's radio version of that part, with a Smiley cameo from Russell Beale, is as brilliant.

    Over to you. <ok>

A former Worcestershire bowler, an even older Kent bowler and a more recent Notts/Derbyshire bowler...what links them?

Well, after an exhaustive search of those counties' Crown Green Bowls records, I can find nothing. :(

<doh> You didn't mean 10-pin, did you? I'll start searching that right away...

Speaking of cricket - about the only time I like to see England win is against India, especially when a Watford fan takes five wickets..... <rofl> <rofl>

The clue could mean that they never had a six hit off them, so I'll go with that.

Nice thought, but I think they all conceded plenty of maximums. It's more about distance...
