Oy sensible, I am thinking about submitting a complaint; there is every chance (with Joe's added fun bonuses) that Rich will finish above me, Alternatively I might end up ruling the world.
Just got in...and reading what's on the boards is painful.....slipping away with hardly a whimper.........and only four on the bench....why did we pick up a lot of injuries before kick-off ? One goal in five games....just not good enough......we need more strikers than the two regulars.........major questions to be asked and answered...........Sheridan must take some of the blame........it's only January......a hell of a way to go to the end of the season without any hope.
Okay, a bit of a match report, Argyle's selection was based on the only 15 available players (including 2 goalkeepers); a combination of injuries . illness and loanee departures meant the JS was forced to pick what was undoubtedly the weakest team all season. Nevertheless Argyle started brightly and created a few opportunities in the first 15- I still have no idea why Reuben Reid's goal was disallowed , but it was, and from that point on we lost all belief, passion or ability to kick a football to a fellow team member. Luton's goal came following a dubious corner - no chance for Luke to save it and I am not sure we ever posed a real threat after that. Reuben Reid might be the top goalscorer, but like today, when his is not scoring he is the worst player on the pitch, lazy, disinterested and generally irritating. Mellor was also poor, but at least tried, and the only players to come out with any real credit were Luke (didn't do anything wrong except very near the end) Allessandra who had a good 1st half but faded in the 2nd and Flanagan who must wonder what he has joined. Lee was okay but a few poor passes spoiled his debut. Nelse was sound as usual but is far better in the center of defense( . Tyler Harvey came on in the second half got a knock and was ineffectual. Thomas made a rare appearance but was equally rarely given the ball. Luton were at best an average team and their league position just shows what a rubbish league this is- sadly, and for the first time this season, I am starting to think that we haven't got the spirit/enthusiasm/passion/balls/desire etc to extract ourselves from this division. Still, 60 points to play for- just need the passion & belief to return. Lets hope John Harbin can motivate the players as JS's management skills are clearly not enough.
