http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/sport/..._Charlton_as_Luzon_misses_out_on_work_permit/ What a Farce Has he or CAFC broke any employment or immigration laws by him taking training in the week? Also why so long many players come in from abroad and getting training the next morning and playing mid week in some cases.
RD. has changed his mind, and this is the end of the beginning for Luzon; he wants him out on a technicality.......!!
Is he Belgian or Israeli? If Belgian, I don't see why he needs a work permit at all. And if Israeli, I don't see why he should ever get one. Plenty of coaches who are EU citizens out of work who could do the job.
This These are the rules for players I fail to see that if similar rules were applied to Luzer, in the managers role, how he would qualify for a work permit. As I understand it, U21 Internationals do not count towards this 75% of competitive games. Perhaps there is a loophole in British Immigration rules in that as Luzer is already employed by a Belgian Company they have a right to send him here to work?
I love the phrase, ?Charlton are disappointed to announce.....'. Should'nt that read 'Roland Duchalet is embarrassed to announce...'. Having said which, I thought once you were in thEC, a work permit and the Shenigen 'freedom of movement' meant you could work in other countries.
For football players (read the loan section) this suggests not .. http://www.lawinsport.com/articles/...ghest-calibre-standard-for-non-eu-footballers It suggests that clubs send players on loan to other EU clubs to prove they are of an exceptional standard rather than to gain time playing in the EU. I think 'freedom of movement' only applies to EU nationals.
This says it all to me. According to a poster on CL we should apologise to Meire because she is angry and upset about being called a liar. Jimmy Stone @JimmyStone_ 5m5 minutes ago Considering he's been twisting Roland's arm over the #cafc job for weeks I'm amazed Luzon's work permit hasn't been sorted yet #cafc
Katrien shouldn't be surprised about the flak she's getting- isn't she paid to take it? It's the invisible Roland who makes all the decisions, as she herself said, adding that we, the fans, have to accept it (as she does). The difference is that she gets paid to to just that, whereas we pay for the privilege. It's a situation I've seen more than once in the workplace, whereby an underling has to give the bad news, qualifying it with "It's not me, it's that bastard upstairs, I'm on your side" sort of thing. Katrien really is just an underling for the Autocrat, whose motto is "Like it or Lump it". I'm just glad we've got one game without a Network manager in charge.
Apologise for being angry when I'm lied to? Hmmm. Interesting concept. Is this woman my mother in law, as that's the only person I know who is allowed to do this sort of thing and then expect an apology from the people she offends.
