With nothing to lose how about playing Harry Maguire up front with Brady in the hole ?

I dont see either Aluko or Ramirez having much in them so impact subs maybe the best
idea for this game. Thankfully then they all get a 2 week break before the Toon game.

The bench would still look fairly strong with the likes of :-
    Harper - McShane - Dawson - Ince - Aluko - Ramirez - Rossi (no thanks re.Sagbo).

tickles is a bit sparse up there..

maguire upfront and brady 'in the hole'

    <laugh>

step1. think of a really tall player

step 2. no matter his position or experience

step 3. put him up front and he can do a 'andy carroll'

step 4. play brady in a position he's heard jamie redknap use on sky sports. . 'in the hole' <laugh>

losing will be a small diaster for our season

I'd say we have lots to lose

He was **** against Arsenal, **** against West Brom, **** against Sunderland, he was even **** at Everton after scoring! He's awful, I'd rather give Tickler ago up top.

While I don't see Maguire as a striker on Sunday, feel there maybe a chance that he might start, to cancel out the aerial threat from Carroll. Maguire a big unit and that's what might be needed.

Chester definitely has better skills on the balls

im unsure what aluko even is

one good game in 15 probably

    he's a fluffer, a bottler, a choker

    don't need him at all

Any youngsters in the development squad who play up front?

Instead of wingers, centrebacks, attacking midfielders and french strikers with no effort

Or Curtis 'even though the ball is just inches off the ground I'll still head it instead of controlling it with my feet' Davies as he's known in the South Stand. See, this is why we don't sing much

I think that Bruce or Dawson would have the size to handle Carroll. But we need a presence in there box and Maguire for me fits that situation. If it does not work then so be it. Not many expect to get anything from the game anyway.

Older fans will remember SuperMac Malcolm MacDonald who was a young centre back for Luton who had to play upfront during an injury crisis. The rest as they say is history.

I dont expect SB to use Maguire up front but why not when the only other option is the young lad Rossi.
