V TBH I can't really remember if it was good or not, it was on after my bed time V was amazing when I was young, best thing on the telly at the time. Shat a brick when the alien **** got his face ripped aff. <BROWNPYJAMAS>
Can't decide on one favourite because I like different things about different shows. The new Battlestar Galactica was probably the best of it's kind (as in a show with a definate continuous plot right through with a planned ending) although the ending was a little unsatisfactory. TNG is undoubtably the best Space based Sci-Fi that doesnt have that overarching storyline, it also set the benchmark for much of what followed. Quantum Leap is a favourite of mine from childhood that really hasn't stood up well to becoming an adult :/. I'm also a big fan of Fringe now that they've actually moved the plotline along a bit.
I would go with the X Files, until it started to get too obsessed with aliens. As Stereo said, if Life on Mars can be considered as sci-fi, then that would definitely be my choice.
TNG was great but I would have to say that Firefly was probably the best scripted SCI FI Show ever, if it had survived more than 13 episodes it would have gone on to become an absolute classic
They redone V recently on Sky and it was pretty garbage. The original one was brilliant at the time, but watching it now, it's laughable.
Come one QL was terrible. Every week he'd get transported into the body of someone and he never once abused the situation! If I was transported into the body of a nubile, young blonde woman I'd spend all day friggin's myself.
Firefly was great but no series can really be judged on half a season (could have gone to ****e after 20 episodes) so I discounted it.
That was because he had to achieve the task in order to move onto the next body in the hope of one day returning home. If he's stayed and fiddle with himself he'd have to stay forever and frankly who wants to be a bird on the rag?
