    He is with Ings and not all players are like it. Clyne chose to join us as he knew he would get more playing time. He had offers from other clubs.

    Hope you're right. Lets face it we are probably the most appealing club that would realistically be in for him anyway. That he's a local lad is just an extra bonus.

    My mate is mates with him. He always seems a humble / nice guy. Unless Burnley accept a stupid bid in Jan he won't be going until the summer. He wants to stay and help them fight to stay up. That in itself is rare for a player.

    Believe Jay Rodriguez turned down Everton for us, as well. Coming up from the Football League may alter the calculus a bit for many players...you're getting your dream move to the Prem (and a much larger pay packet) anyway, so they're perhaps able to take a step back and look at the other merits of each option.

    Does anyone understand why we are regularly linked with martins indi. He only moved in the summer and has played almost every game for Porto including all champions league games.

    Why would he move to us?

    Is there some buzz about Porto being in a poor financial situation or something? I can't imagine how that is possible given the ridiculous profits they make on south American players

    Well, next season, as a Champions League club ( ;) ) we'll be able to offer them a ridiculous profit, and offer Bruno Martins Indi the chance to play for Koeman again, keep his UCL football and also play in the Premier League.

    Hope he comes to us, I really do. My heart says he will, but - speaking myself as a humble and nice guy, and thus a fairly representative sample - I might well be tempted to take a job somewhere that offers me double the wages of another job. I tell you what, though, I like how stony-faced the guy is - he is interested in the business on the pitch and no time for jollities. Looks moody as hell even when he scores.
