The Hull City Supporters’ Trust is delighted to launch its 2015 membership scheme. The Trust has been established to continue the previous work of the Tigers Co-operative and provide an independent voice for Hull City supporters. The Trust will attempt to exercise a positive influence on the management and direction of Hull City, as well as providing benefits to members. In time, perhaps we will achieve a formal say in the running of the club.

please log in to view this image

For £5 anyone over 16 years old can become a full shareholding member of HCST – you pay £1 to become a Trust shareholder and £4 for your annual membership. If you are already a shareholder of Tigers Co-operative then let us know and we will refund you £1 via Paypal. Under 16s can also join for a bargain £2, although our rules prevent younger members from being shareholders.

In return for joining us you become a part of a growing movement and independent voice for Hull City fans. You also get the benefit of our Partners Scheme, which entitles you to discounts on a wide range of goods and services - from driving lessons and golf practice, to chimney sweeping and a chippy tea. To be honest, you’ll soon get your fiver back in Partner discounts if you live in the Hull area. Some of our partners are online retailers that will allow anyone to benefit regardless of where they live.

Full details are available on our membership page – http://citytillwedie.com/join/. We will soon be switching to a new HCST website address once we have our new graphics in place, but please use our existing site to sign up to the Trust in the meantime.

We will commence the formal work of the Trust by conducting a ballot to elect the Trust Board, then hold an Annual General Meeting open to all HCST members. This AGM will take place at 10am on 21st February 2015 at the Royal Station Hotel on Ferensway in central Hull. Full details will follow when you have become a member.

We hope you will join us and make the Trust a vibrant and positive community that champions the cause of not only our members but all Hull City fans.

    Yours sincerely,

    The HCST Interim Board

Why didn't you start one then.
As always in all things its so easy to be critical of those who get off their butts and do something while doing sweet FA yourself.

You can only have one Supporters Trust.

This new one was meant to be open, upfront and a totally different entity to CTWD. It looked appealing if it delivered on its promises.

    Do you think it is?

A postal address would help. Not everyone (me) is at ease with paypal.

I'm happy to support any supporters' trust that Happy disapproves of. It's like a restaurant being awarded a Michelin star.

Interesting responses to a perfectly innocent and reasonable question.

Well the Tigers co-op has been dormant for years, so anyone could have gone to them and done a deal to merge.

Its open for people to join and get further involved if they so wish. so yes.
Upfront, well they have put out their aims and plans, also have a members meeting planned for next month so yes.
CTWD as you know was formed to campaign against a planned name change. It seems like they won and CTWD has been put to bed. The supporters trust has a much wider remit so a total different entity ? yes.

But the same committee and the same website?

How hard do you think it is to register a domain and put a website up?

    Hint: REALLY easy

Then get yourself involved, you could be the IT guru. By the way i'm a technophobe and have no idea how easy or hard it is to set up a website.

If the "silent majority" and its not so silent reps. on here are certain they are right why don't they join the trust so they can influence the direction it moves in.It won't happen of course because it's much more fun to sit on the sidelines and hurl brickbats at the people who have got off their backsides and done something to further the causes they believe in.

I have joined the trust, I will probably disagree with some of the decisions that are made but I am certain they will be reached in a democratic way so I will accept them.

The domain name was registered as soon as the name was decided, the new graphics for the website, Facebook and Twitter were done last weekend and we'd hoped to switch the domain ahead of the membership launch, but we felt we could delay it no longer.

We're all volunteers and there's a very good reason why our IT man has been unable to help us sort things this week, but the domain will switch very soon and the social media sites have switched already.

It's a very petty point to try and have a go at us about, but as it's you, that's hardly a surprise.

Come to the AGM ahead of the QPR game and ask for me and I'll sort your membership on the spot(OLM, Lambo or anything similar will get you pointed in my direction).

You can have as many Supporters Trusts as you like. Only one will be recognised and supported by Supporters Direct.

He said while making a petty point about me...

It's really not petty. Its the number one rule in marketing, I imagine. All the ****e thrown at the club for their marketing skills and its taken sodding months to get a simple thing up online that clearly marked a departure from CTWD. You're alienating people you, allegedly, want to be engaging with by using CTWD and appearing to still be them under a rebranding.

Even just having a "Coming soon" page would be better than what you're currently using. Christ, you could easily have put some basic info up too. Just 1 page was needed. I can't believe you of all people are making out setting up a Twitter and Facebook page should take this long.

You really can't continue to play the poor little volunteers card, not if you ever plan on being taken seriously.

It still looks, feels and smells like AKACTWD to me. Until that changes I won't join. Once it does change, I will join.

In the meantime, this is an open, public forum and I will question this organisation, I will comment where I wish and I will criticise if I wish too. If you want a closed shop forum, Im sure you'll get one up eventually.

Is there going to be an annual report? I'm going to join but for obvious reasons something like an annual report would be nice for those of us who will probably never go to a meeting.

As I already mentioned, Facebook and Twitter switched already, it's only the web domain that has been delayed and hopefully that will be resolved this weekend.

You're welcome to question what we're doing, you've been doing it for well over a year, I don't expect you to stop now. <laugh>
