Ronnie O'Sullivan took sole possession of the record for most professional career century breaks when he posted his 776th three-figure contribution on Thursday.

O'Sullivan set a new mark in the opening frame of his Masters quarter-final against Hong Kong's Marco Fu at London's Alexandra Palace, having equalled fellow multiple former world champion Stephen Hendry's record of 775 centuries with two hundreds during his tournament-opening win over Ricky Walden on Tuesday.

Just thought I`d let you know. Not that I`m bored or owt like.

The best player ever. It's no coincidence that the most gifted also suffer the most internal demons.

Just to point out, Defoe hasn't signed yet. Lots of comments on here talking as if he has.

Not particularly superstitious but can we all stop counting chickens :emoticon-0127-lipss:emoticon-0127-lipss:emoticon-0127-lipss

TRAINING SESSION: Jermain Defoe photographed leaving Sunderland's Academy of Light.

HERE is the proof that Jermain Defoe is set to sign for Sunderland.

The Toronto striker has been on Wearside for a medical and his move should be confirmed in the coming hours.

You're one of the best on the Sunderland board which is quite an achievement for a foreigner!

You're like Somb, love a fight, know about football and enough of a sense of humour to laugh at yersel <ok>

Then again you don't have much choice <laugh>

    It's a done deal mate.

They wouldn't be flying 2 players those distances, and talking about it in the media, if it could go wrong.

It was all set up weeks ago imo.

If the next headline says "Altidore fails medical, returning to Sunderland" there`ll be a queue to jump off the Wear bridge.

It wouldn't matter, I reckon the Defoe deal would still go through.

I also believe there's been a medical for Jozy here before this all started.

Shocking that mate. Pleased to see you`re doing your best though. Sacrifices have to be made.

Working my way through mine nicely. Got a bottle of 10 year old single malt Aberlour from the grandbabs for Xmas. That could well be next. <laugh>
