Fecking scandalous sensationalism. To predicate the morning thread on a lie just to get a reaction is nothing short of scandalous, a man of honour would now consider their position as a mod.

WJ is traumatised by your output.

Exactly my thought, for free and £10k a week or under you are not going to find better than Warnock and when we have a lot of young players you would have assumed his experience invaluable. Everyone keeps banging on about freeing up more cash/wages, £10k is the limit no matter if we release or sell warnock, no matter if another 5 players leave, 10k is it.

If Warnock leaves Taylor becomes the new LB. Trouble is, he's not ready to step up and play every week. Better to keep Warnock unless they;re offering silly money for him

I don't believe there is a fee, more an agreement to terminate his contract

Reading this and this mornings comments by Glory in regards to possible forthcoming legal cases and reading Cellino's recent interview comments posted by WJ you do have to wonder if found guilty today it will be a case of stepping aside until May?

I am starting to wonder if the FL have powers to ban him longer, if he himself is worried about future cases and does indeed want out, food for thought...

Not May btw, March. Hence all the 'why bother for the sake of 6 weeks' talk.

Because this isn't the only allegation. Other court cases loom. Uncertainty is a killer for clubs and companies. We face months and months of further uncertainty and he might well end up in an eytie jail at the end of it.he needs to go imvvho.

I actually meant April as FL are saying it will be extended to after the expected date as agreed by both parties due to them permitting him to stay in charge while appeal is heard.

Think you're referring to the hearing (should have been December 15th or something like that. Cannot extend the 'spent' date of the conviction.

My understanding of letting Cellino in charge pending the appeal was that if he lost the appeal he would serve the additional 29 days after the conviction is spent. Both parties agreed to this condition at the time and it would now be subject to civil contract law / fl rules. Can't see how he could go back on it now. The fact he didn't do anything with the stay of sanction is another stick to beat him with. Hope florida was worth it.

The 29 day extension was mentioned in the YEP pieces I posted earlier, and I think Simon mentioned it in one of his blog pieces over the crimbo period.

Unless I am reading it wrong?

The Football League originally said Cellino had to resign as a director of Leeds by December 29 but agreed to defer that deadline until two days after the final decision by the professional conduct committee.

A statement from the league last month said: “As a consequence, the parties have agreed that if Mr Cellino is unsuccessful in his appeal, any disqualification period will be extended by an amount equivalent to the length of time between December 29 and the deferred deadline.”

I read it the same way as you, so does the YEP.

I wrongly assumed he appealed the bans start date so that he could bring in new faces before today, I thought he was going to use it wisely. ;)

Someone will be along soon to say the holiday was a good idea so he could refresh and charge his batteries ready to face the FL

Hadn't read about that aspect of the agreement, so take it on board, guys. Seems logical.

As for his trip to Miami, why is this a surprise to people? He runs a global enterprise out of Miami, so it's no surprise that he goes out there on a regular basis. He still has access to phones etc., so is always available. We have a DoF to deal with signings etc. Cellino will have already have given his input for this activity, so what is the problem with him being there?

Is this just another stick to hit him with, with no thought put into it?

Plenty of thought going into it. It's just these little sticks on their own are too small. We either need to fashion a wooden club from one of them or build a raft so the cnut can sail away on it.
