Haw haw I have never said I have an inside line into Leeds point one I did suggest we took on Adam Smith and Matt Smith and proved it with my atricles on JA 606 with the relevant dates How did I do this I wrote to the managers Simon has taken up 2 of my choices it could be a coincidence I suppose and McDermot one ,These were suggested long before they were announced even in speculation I think I have answered your points I have not wriiten To MC only to invite him to supper, but so far having spoken to popey ,I think I should have written to his secreatary
And there you go again. The first two words, who exactly is bullying who? I will remake the offer I made two weeks ago. Ignore my posts, stop throwing insults my way and I will never speak to or of you again. I arnt doing this for you. I am doing it because everyone must be sick of hearing it... The choice is entirely yours. Prove me wrong and do the right thing.
Morning All, I still keep hearing Cellino being compared to Bates, and it rankles with me. He may be many things, but he's no Bates. Say Bates to any supporter, and the first thing she thinks of is money being syphoned out of the club, and nothing coming in. That's his number one crime, and the one at the root of all of his actions (allegedly). Take Cellino - he's invested in the club: to buy it; to pay off debt; to then pay off hidden debt, and he's paid out cash money to bring in players. I could mention the money he has just recently put in place for investment, but let's just stick to money already spent, even though it weakens my argument a little. Someone tell me how Cellino's investment & commitment to the future correlates with Bates. And I don't want to see any comments re. quality of players etc. That is a different argument altogether for a different day. I just want to deal with this fundemental. Money is the club's lifeblood, and without it, we wouldn't exist. So, one syphons money out, the other pours it in. I just don't get the comparison. Please enlighten me. Sensibly, and dealing ONLY with the finance aspect, please. Feather is on standby to knock me over
If you've got a day off & are at a loose end, wanna go on a Harrogate pub crawl? I've only ever been to 2 pubs in Harrogate. Hear t's a really happening place.
Pub crawl no. A couple of beers at lunchtime/early afternoon sounds like a plan. Are you sure you arnt luring me into a trap and Mike is going to turn up with an AK47?
How much money do you think Cellino has actually paid out so far? As I understand it He bought the club on staged payments, he has received lots of income from the usual sources and has cut costs by huge amounts. I arnt convinced in nett terms he has paid anything out.
I don't know about commitment to the future as only time will tell on that one but based solely on your question Cellino is better than Bates in my opinion. As none of us have access to expenditure and income we all have only opinions. What marvels me is that Bates, GFH and Cellino only have to get it right and their investment would have made any of them very wealthy. Bates might argue he was the better business man because he got very wealthy off us with very little risk. I wondered but dare not ask
Totally agree with WJ I really think he is trying to get the ship on an even keel but will he be given time lets hope so
Cellino has bought Silvestri 400k Beradi 200k Bianci 500k Antenucci 800k Sloth 800k Sharp 600k Ajose 150k Cooper 750k Doukara 1.2m BELUSHI 1.5M THE REST TAYLOR FREE Loanees Adryan ZAK Montenegro Fabio Total cost excluding ageats fees and loans £ 6.3M THEN THERES payouts to Kenny and Hunt Outgoing Ross £10.25m Matt Smith 750k Lees do know Warnock dont know So based on thes figures which no doubt will be queried but they are my best guesses we are infront on the transfer front
I am stll here just not posting. I still can't work out if I think Cellino is right for us or not and with the recent performances on an off the field have kept me from posting because I would go absolutely ape **** with it all haha Millwall cheered me up last night though so thought I'd say hello
So based on mikes figures above assuming all incoming and outgoing payments are staged at the same rate the transfer kitty is in surplus. The cost cutting means we are not running up losses according to Cellino. Cellino has made one part payment of £5mill to GFH, gfh wrote one off under the November restructure. I would guess that at the very most Celino is £3mill out of pocket today. But his LUFC asset is worth more than that so he has in effect invested nothing of his own capital over his tenure to the point he sells up.
Apparently he was sold to Derby so that man does it again we all thought he had gone for zero next one up is Pearce followed by Morison followed by Austin Norris poor lad nobody seems to want him
Undisclosed fee, as discussed before, it usually means the buying club pay off the remainder of the wages so they in effect leave for free.
And is the norm in cases where only six months remain on a contract, it ain't the work of a footballing finance genius.
Morning all. Just read through first ten posts and same ****e as every other day. So good luck till later or tomorrow. It's past boring now
1) We haven't signed any players to talk about 2) We haven't lost any more games to moan about 3) We don't play our next game for another 48 hours 4) You could always start your own happy thread Just kidding with you but what is their to discuss apart from events of today which are Warnock has left and Cellino has his judgement day?
