LeedsLover I don't mind anyone having a differing opinion, sometimes I am more grumpy than others and "here we go again" "face palms" and other little jibs rub me up the wrong way quicker. Maybe I should learn not to take it so personal. I really do see where you are coming from with those opinions, I don't agree with them for reasons detailed previously but that doesn't mean I am right and you are wrong. On the Ross fee I read we get £9.5m after costs and Cardiff cut, there shouldn't be any tax that will be decided on end of year returns? Again though just something I have read... GFH get a share? 25% but as the Ross money was earmarked to buy the ground back GFH would have effectively put their share in? Cellino said he had come to an agreement with GFH over the £6m he owed them so it shouldn't be an issue. When talking to Simon Cellino said buying the ground back now would harm us with fair play rules, Simon spoke to the FL and they said not true. A man of Cellino's stature and legal team behind him would not have known that? I just see it as excuse after excuse... I haven't been a Cellino hater from the start, I welcomed him to begin with. I don't hate him now to be honest with you, I dislike how he is operating and I personally believe he is far from the truth in his words and actions.
Had to go back to look, Glory. Nope, you're wrong. Simply made a schoolboy remark & followed it with a smiley to show it was to be taken lightly.
Right now Ristac, I think a lot of fans are angry, our position in league is probably the biggest fueller, I'm not happy with it either, but my blame goes towards Redders rather than Cellino. I agree Cellino seems to say a lot of things out of excitement, and at times may get things mixed up or twisted, but I believe he has the club at heart and seriously wants to revive it back to the PL. Cellino is a business man, we all know businessmen are not always honest and do tell lies or make excuses, that's why they call'em businessmen, so people like us are forewarned and know what kind of waffle and jargon to expect. I can understand why some fans are feeling down and disheartened, what I don't understand is those that just want to blame Cellino for everything, yet them same people absolutely refuse to address or recognise the good he has done for the club; seems to me they have tunnel vision and are solely focused on trying to convince others that their agenda is justified. Right now, and I'm not saying the FL lied, but would anyone actually believe what the FL say? Personally, end of season will tell a bigger, if not better story.
The FL haven't lied about purchasing the ground not affecting fair play rules, that is a fact mate, they don't. It can be purchased safely without further punishment, it would help us as we wouldn't be paying extortionate rent. Cellino knows that now (if he didn't before), he has also stated he has sorted out the loan agreement with GFH so no more excuses, we can expect the ground purchase to go ahead?
We may all see the issues differently. But the saddest thing about following LUFC is that we know far more about fl rules of ownership, administration, italian vat rules, and the legal processes of many European countries than mere football supporters are supposed to. Nearly everyone of us can also recognise ****e and show pony players at 1000 yards.
The FL have got it in for us that's a fact, and if it means going after Cellino to get to us, that's what they will do I'd rather believe Bates than those crooked ****s
I wouldn't say it was a sad thing Chippy, I'd say it was a good thing, and I agree with you... I think I may have misinterpreted this paragraph Ristac, and for that I apologise.
With respect to the purchase of Elland Rd, you would not be in trouble with the FL if the purchase was completed using money already in the club. Now if you had to borrow money, that would be an additional debt, surely, and would impact the bottom line at the end of the year?
The FL will never allow Cellino to be part of the football pyramid due to the severe shadow (all unproven) over his head with the gun smuggling many moon ago. 7 Italians dies as a result of it, 600 tonnes of cargo went missing, the mafia legal team represented Cellino when the other stuff (missing grain) went to trial - all this a year after Cellino had to sell 70% of his Dad's empire as it was on its knees barely 6 months after Cellino took over - If any of you are wondering who he sold the guns to - probably still being used in Syria and Paris now!!
