Here we go again, WJ and LCW blindly believing anything Cellino states. A few months ago I was in the minority, I said fans would start thinking the same as me.The article you posted WJ, what does it say, "a lot of doubt and hostility" fans are opening their eyes and you will too. Blame everyone else - Reason we sold Ross he disrespected him, reason we are selling Warnock he doesn't live in Leeds and moans, reason we are suffering on the pitch, because he has been disqualified, reason we didn't sign players he initially said we had because agents made unfair claims, reason we haven't yet because the agents tell him they fear he might not be in charge. Don't give me crap about lied and libel, he did and has many times. Why did he not buy the ground, you are saying it is GFH well he restructured the loan, he now says how can he buy the ground when every 3 months the FL are chasing him. The bottom line is WJ and LCW you both dare not admit you might be wrong, you have both defended EVERY action blindly, Cellino is your Elland Road God and very soon you will both have to admit you are wrong or look very silly indeed. If he had known about the ban he would never have come wtf! He fought it in court, he was told he still faced a ban if the Italian judges verdict came back dishonest, he was in trouble for holding back information, the guy stinks of dishonesty and you still believe the verbal crap excuses he spews out.
Not from me, go back 6 months and I was all for giving it a chance, I remember both you and me saying the most exciting prospects were Sloth, Adryan and a CB who never actually arrived.
Cellino's not perfect by any means, and yes he talks a load of bollocks at times, but give me Cellino over Bates/Harvey/GFH/Farnham/Verity/Scouse Plastic Gangster anytime
Groundhog Day in that every season by Christmas it is over for us and that off field antics are bigger news than on field success. Every January we hope for players who will improve us and instead it ends up about who is left. Only difference now is that the season isn't really over for us as it is all about are there 3 teams worse than us and can we avoid the drop, sick of it to be honest.
I agree but not much of a choice is it, like saying do you want your leg, arm or finger chopped off, all pretty painful I would imagine Is it really too much to expect a normal owner, sometimes I wonder if we have been cursed with who we attract as buyers.
The advert read, For sale, Ex premier league football club, with great tradition and fans. If you don't have any money, but can blag the buying bit, Promise the earth.then do nothing, Sell all the assets and best players, Live abroad and spend little time in this country, Have pending court cases, Are probably deemed unfit, due to fit and proper persons rule of the FL. You are wellcome to apply. Please abstain from applying, Anyone who actually has money, An interest or knowledge of english football. Or would like to see this club get promoted.
Taken from the same page as linked to by WJ on the opening post, article in relation to why has Cellino not purchased ER. Notice another lie told by Cellino and uncovered by Simon.... The Italian has plumped for the latter, but been reluctant to express his dilemma in such stark terms, perhaps understandably. He said buying the stadium outright could cause the club to fall foul of the Football League's financial fair play rules. Yet when I called the League to check this, they said any spending on infrastructure or stadia was exempt from FFP. Cellino has told me he hates breaking promises and letting the fans down, but unfortunately that’s exactly what has happened - for the time being at least.
Fo'****sake lads. let it go, some have already made their minds up about Cellino, a bit too soon in my opinion, and some are giving him the time to sort the monumental mess Bates/GFH have left us in, some don't believe him, some are giving him the benefit of the doubt At the end of the day, we all want the best for our club, its pointless getting at each others throats every day about the same thing. I think this time next year or sooner, we will all be of the same opinion, and then the pisstaking can start bigtime, who was wrong and who was right
With respects Ristac, and I'm not aiming this reply at you but all in general. Many, actually quite a lot seem to be under misapprehensions. 1) The Ross £11m is sitting somewhere, no comparison with Bates? Out of the Ross money, GFH get a share, the club get a share, the taxman gets a share, deal was that remaining money would be paid if Fulham get promoted this season. While the media were posting 11 mill, they didn't post the details. Leeds would only have a small share out of the supposed 11 mill for Ross. 2) Sold our leading scorer and captain. Number 2 is obviously linked with number 1, however, given the way McContract is playing, in championship mind, and given that he isn't scoring that many, who's to say he would be better with Leeds. I mentioned on JA606 board a while back I thought McContract would struggle scoring goals for a team with other prolific strikers in team. I was ridiculed by a few who seem to know nothing about football. When Becchio was here, McContract was quiet and not scoring, McContract degraded Becchio after he left of course. Only after Becchio left did McContract begin scoring, he went to a team who already had better strikers, and he is struggling, it wouldn't matter what team he went to, he would still struggle. He had one good season for us, without Becchio or any other prolific striker. 3) Lied about buying the ground back, he hasn't actually lied. There were a lot of problems with GFH, including they were expecting to make money without putting any in, Cellino saw that. Had he bought back ER, GFH's share values would'ave skyrocketted. Both GFH and Cellino saw that. Cellino did mention this in an article. 4) Ignoring the coaches plea to strengthen the squad, Cellino never ignored Redfearns plea, there were ongoing deals trying to be done with overseas players. I personally disagreed with Cellino in not taking Becchio. Redfearn made it sound like Cellino was ignoring him by continually saying the same things to different media journalists. Redders was covering his arse in the eyes of the fans. 5) Transfer window arrives and we possibly and probably exit it a weaker team by selling another captain. Warnock apparently wanted another 2 year contract, Cellino said he would see at seasons end, Warnock put in for a transfer apparently in disgust. Cellino said Warnock was always complaining. Warnock has apparently bad form at other clubs too, pointing to reasons why he was let go from them teams. Warnock has also been mentioned as being one who allegedly instigated the split in dressing room along with Morison, no surprises there. 6) Moans about massive legal expenses. Who doesn't moan about high legal expenses. Let's not forget that it was the FL who went after Cellino, Cellino is just defending himself and standing up for himself and the club. 7) BLAMES EVERYONE ELSE. Nothing to do with him appointing coaches we have never heard of and players who we have to Wiki. As memory serves, I believe both Darko and Hockaday were recommended to Cellino, it was the fans who wanted, and recommended Redfearn; Cellino wanted to keep Redders in academy, but he succumbed to the fans. Some of those that shouted for Redders to be coach are also ones that are now trying to blame everything on Cellino. We have a coach in Redders, well, he occupies the space at least, he takes the plaudits for successes, he also takes responsibility for failures. It's Redders job to coach and bring on the team from scratch and on to becoming and playing like a team, he's failing, but those who already hate Cellino want to blame Cellino for Redders failures, definitely out of order. I stubbed my toe yesterday, shall I blame you, or you, or you? Cellino brought in cheaper players because he was made aware of the transfer embargo, had he spent millions then we could'ave copped a fine of up to 30 million quid, which is what the FL are talking about fining QPR if and when they return to FL. The reason for the embargo had nothing to do with Cellino, but he has tried to fix it and stop Leeds going into admin or copping a big fine. Again, not directed at you Ristac, just everyone in general. I hope some understand things a bit better.
