I was just thinking that Cork is going to have a hard time getting ahead of Reed in the pecking order, but that doesn't matter too much now - Schneiderlin and Wanyama both out is a massive loss, but CM is the position that we have the most depth and I honestly think we can survive it.
Exactly, Vic is an extremely physical player so he needs more than a 3 day break. Does anyone know Morgans status? I know he picked up a knock but will he be out for this weekend?
Think how good we're going to be in early February when Rodriguez, Wanyama, Mane, Yoshida, Schneiderln and Alderweireld come back!
Was just about to say the same. Vic wouldn't be that big a loss if Morgan wasn't already out. However, we have Cork who's very good and from what I've seen of Reed he looks really good as well. With JWP as well we're fine.
Agreed. We really shouldn't be running essential players into the ground in 3rd round replays, particularly as Vic became all the more essential when it became clear that Schneiderlin was going to be out for a spell.
Fanfuckintastic We do have cover in Cork, Davis and Reed but expect us to lose some midfield domination. This is why we cant do both FA cup and 4th place, we dont have the depth this season.
What is it with Saints injuries. We always seem to the same position out at the same time. A couple of seasons ago we had all back four out. Mind you Wanyama hasn't been his usual majestic self. Let's hope we get another goal and no more injuries.
