Burnley thought the same about Eddie Howe and he was back at Bournemouth a year or so later. I do not think he or Karl Robinson would have the nous to keep us up; if we were relegated then those 2 would be worth a shout if there was sufficient enthusiasm from the board to overhaul the whole footballing structure. For me we should stick with Harry. Of course he may decide to quit if the results are poor. In which case you get on the phone to Felix Magath.

Howe was only there for a year or so due to family reasons, they wouldn't move north, so he felt that for the sake of his family he would leave the Burnley job. However in the time he was there he brought through Austin, Rodriguez and Ings so that wasn't a bad legacy for Dyhce to inherit.

The time to have got him in was straight after Wembley, but now I can't see him leaving his home town club not with the way they are playing and the possibility that they could replace us in the Prem next season......

There certainly seems to be a shortage of quality managers available at the moment, before his disasterous spell at Brighton Sami Hyppia would have been an interesting appointment, but to be honest I'm not sure who would be suitable.....

Can't think why Eddie's family would prefer Bournemouth to Burnley! It is true though that there is not much around at the moment. The last time we sacked a manager when there was little else out there we ended up with Stewart Houston. I can still see him now screaming from the dug out and trying to get players attention by whistling loudly at them like they were dogs!
