Daft way of looking at it.
Premier league
In 13/14 he only scored 1 in 14 but was limited just 434 minutes as a bit part sub.
In 12/13 he scored 11 and created 4 in 34. Good return and played regularly.
In 11/12 he scored 11 and created 2 in 25 with only 1299 minutes, used mainly as sub. Exceptional return.
In 10/11 he scored 4 and created 2 in 22. Used as sub and only clocked 1477minutes. pretty poor season.
In 09/10 he scored 18 and created 5 in 34, played regularly. Exceptional return.

It's easy to bunch statistic to put a player down but when you look at each season on their individual merit then it's plain to see he's been a very good goal scorer.

Don't buy the wage thing neither. We have a wage structure and the media had decided his wages before he'd even had talks @Media. No way is he getting a flat 70k a week. I could buy that he may get it hitting goal targets but a flat 70k a week? Never in a million years. Not to piss on your chips fella.

Atletico Madrid have offered QPR and Sunderland target Cristian Rodriguez to both Olympiacos and Galatasaray.

According to reports in Spain, the La Liga champions are actively seeking a departure for the Uruguayan midfielder and have approached both clubs to gauge their interest.

QPR and Sunderland have both been strongly linked with the man known as 'Cebolla' – which translates as 'Onion' – and it has been suggested that they might look to sign him this month.

However, his future could lie away from England if either Olympiacos or Galatasaray make him an offer.

It has been suggested that Turkish giants Gala hold the firmest interest, although they have already reached the quota of non-Turkish players allowed in their squad.

But that could change with Macedonian striker Goran Pandev linked with a January departure away from the club, which could open the door for a Rodriguez swoop.

Jermain Defoe is nearly back in the Premier League. Sunderland are set to confirm the signing of the former England and Tottenham frontman from MLS club Toronto. The striker is expected to undergo a medical in the next 24 hours.
