Part of me would like to see Ipswich knock us out. As a top 4 finish becomes more believable, the cup becomes less of a priority for me and more of a distraction for an already thin squad.

Only back in the Lawrie era, during Keegan's couple of seasons. Can't remember which Saints history book it was, but in one of them Lawrie's quoted as saying that every ground we went to, that club had its best attendance, or near best attendance, for the season. And those were the days when the league gate receipts were still shared. Plus, we were on the TV quite a lot. Remember, there was far less televised football though.
