I can watch them in Ireland so it's not exclusive to the UK. I've hardly missed a kick this season thanks to those replays, they're fantastic. Friday night's game is on Sky. Even if you don't have the channel there will be decent streams available.

Cool. I'll check that out. The whole game? That's awesome. A day late won't bother me. Thanks, boys.

Latest news on QPR's financial fair play problems. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/dec/02/qpr-accounts-financial-fair-play-football-league

Clubs who break the rules get docked points. Clubs, like QPR, who get promoted out of the football league in a season where they fail to live within their means get a financial fine. £7m is fined for losses up to £18m, with a pound for pound additional fine for losses beyond that. In the season they were relegated, QPR lost £65m. As the article points out, if they lost a similar amount last season that would add up to a whopping £54m fine. I don't think they made significant changes to their wage bill, so this could get very interesting. All speculation at this point, of course, with numbers being pulled out of the air, but we'll wait and see what happens.

Financial fines for clubs in a poor financial state is ironic, if not a little harsh.

I always thought the same! Similar deal with docking points from clubs who go into administration. I know there has to be a deterrent, but surely there's something more constructive that can be done rather than kicking them when they're down.

How on earth does the Football League expect clubs to get their finances in order by adding to their troubles?

I have some sympathy for that view, but it's meant to be preventative rather than punitive: if clubs know that they can't get away with it, it encourages them to live within their means rather than spend wildly in the hope of getting promotion. I think the points penalty is a better solution than the financial one, but if a club gets promoted into the Premier League, the football league no longer has the authority to penalise them in that way.

I think that the pts penalties were introduced after Leicester City (under Micky Adams) went into administration thus allowing them to get out of paying lots of debts to local businesses etc and went on to get promotion. Other clubs who had paid everything that they owed felt that it gave Leicester an unfair advantage - they were able to spend money on wages and transfer fees because they had written off their other debts, while other clubs who took a more responsible approach to finances missed out on the possible Premier League pot of gold. As a result, they established the rule that going into administration carries an automatic 10pt penalty, which in most cases makes promotion all-but impossible. that can result in some careful timing of when a club goes into administration: they don't want to take it too early if it might turn out to be the difference between getting promoted or not, or avoiding relegation or not. At the same time, if it isn't going to affect which division you're in next season, it's better to take them early rather than wait till the end of the season and then start the following one on -10.

Looks like some Footballers have been caught in a scam by an ex-footballer McIndoe?. Mentioned are Jimmy Bullard and Robbie Keane who put up £100,000s. Scam was players would get 20% return on their investment, but it was a pyramid style scam where those starting later were paying the interest for those who started first and then collapsed later on after the ex-footballer filed for Bankruptcy for £3m but inspectors recon it could be £15m and losses could be £30m.

Anyone watching Arsenal vs Hull City? Is it just me, or does Jimmy Bullard look like he's wandered in from some dodgy gangster movie?

“Felix Magath buys a 1% share in Rangers”

When I saw this headline I whooped with delight until I realised it was Glasgow Rangers.

”Former Fulham manager Felix Magath has bought around a 1% stake in Rangers, it has emerged.

The 61-year-old, who has previously guided Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg to the Bundesliga title, purchased the shares at the end of last year. Despite holding discussions with one of the groups battling for control of the club, Magath is said to have no ambition of succeeding Ally McCoist as manager of the Gers.

However, a report in the Daily Record claims that the German boss does want to help rebuild the club's football infrastructure as technical director.”

Ah well, suppose they do have bigger hills in Scotland.

Gents, having not been in this predicament before, am I entitled to a refund on the tickets I bought for the home game on 24th Jan (which is the day of the 4th round)? Or am I stuck?

I think you can get a refund.
The match has been rearranged for Wednesday 21 January at 7.45pm

Generally, the club says that the tickets are valid for the rearranged game, but also gives people the option of a refund. There may be a time limit on claiming the refund, so if I were you I'd contact the club as soon as you can if you can't make the 21st. I think you'll have more luck with refunding match tickets than you will with the train tickets you mentioned in a previous post, sadly.

    Thanks chaps.

    The club's T&C's state this;

Where do I stand on this? The rescheduling announcement was late last night and it's now exactly 7 days before the rescheduled date.
