    1. Kit is reported as saying that new contracts are in the offing for Sean Kavanagh and George Williams -

”The pair have made a great start to life in the Championship, and manager Kit Symons, responsible for their development as U21 coach, admits the duo are near the top of his to-do list this month with both out of contract at the end of the season. He said: “We want to keep all our best young players, especially those who come through our system, so that’s something we’ll be looking to do.”

Defender Kavanagh joined Fulham from a tiny Irish non-league club in 2011, but made an immediate impact on Symons. “I remember when he came on trial as under 18. The standard wasn’t too high to be perfectly honest, but Sean stood out like a beacon,” said the manager. “The quality is in his left foot was there for all to see. He’s had a tough time with injuries, but he’s got stronger and is a quality player.”

Kavanagh has made nine appearances and scored once - the winner against Norwich on October 18.”

Midfelder Williams has featured 19 times for the Whites this campaign and made his full debut for Wales last June as a 70th minute sub in a 2-0 defeat to Holland in the Amsterdam Arena.

    2. Kit has also said he believes that Bryan Ruiz will quit - provided someone is willing to shoulder the bulk of the midfielder's £45,000-a-week wages.

“The Costa Rican international was one of the surprise hits of the 2014 World Cup where he scored twice for his country. But forced to return to life in the Championship, he was first ignored by manager Felix Magath and then restored to first-team action under Symons, but made no secret of his intent to return to top-flight football somewhere in Europe.

He cost Fulham close to £7 million when bought from Twente Enschde in 2011, and the Whites would want to recoup at least half of that in straight transfer or broker a loan deal like the one that took him to PSV Eindhoven in the second half of last season. In August, Werder Bremen, Ajax, Palermo and Olympiakos made noises about signing the 29-year-old, now Symons reckon he's got wind of fresh interest in his player.

The manager said: “There’s not been an offer as such, but interest, and I expect there to be interest in a lot of our players, because if not it means we’ve got a lot of players nobody wants. “Bryan’s situation was made quite definite to me when I first took over, and he is possibly looking to move on. If it came about we would sit down and discuss it, but he is a player we have an option to add on an extra year (to his contract). If anything happens, we’ll work out the best situation for club and player.”

Add to the list Mitroglou, another W O S for us would cut another 40k + off wage bill,
    if returned.

Here’s another one, especially for you rosc. Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in Emerson Hyndman (and Klinsmann sings his praises!!)

”Fulham midfielder Emerson Hyndman’s recent rise to prominence has caught the eye of Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, according to a report from Goal USA's Ives Galarcep today.

Hyndman, 18, only made his professional debut in Fulham’s Championship opener against Ipswich Town in August, but has already earned his first US national team cap, while also establishing himself as a regular in the first-team squad at Craven Cottage. The Texas-native’s passing prowess even earned him comparisons to Andrea Pirlo from former manager Felix Magath earlier this season, and US head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has also sung his praises in recent months.

“Emerson is phenomenal. This kid came to our first game after the World Cup, and in our first training session he played like he was always with us,” the German told the Telegraph. “He’s barely 18. I said to my coach: ‘Are you seeing what I’m seeing?’ Everyone was like ‘woah’.”

The talent which Klinsmann has spoken of has not gone unnoticed across Europe, and Jurgen Klopp’s Dortmund are now reported to be keeping close tabs on the teenager, along with clubs in both La Liga and the Eredivisie.

Hyndman himself is ignoring the speculation at this point, however, and is more than content to continue his development in west London.”

Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, apologies if I'm repeating old news, but on the topic of renewing contracts it looks like Rodallega might be staying for another season. Apparently his contract has the option of another year and Kit says the club are likely to be taking up that option.

Speaking to his "home town" radio staion tonight Hugo said that Sunderland have made a bid for him and that Amorebieta (who has friends there) has told him that Malaga are also interested.

Given his wages, I think the Club would take any serious offer, Fab.

If Roda were to extend I assume his wages would drop to around £40k with the broken up signing on few no longer included? They would still be too high though for what we get. I think he's run out of steam now and would be quite happy to see him move on and us try something different.

Am I the only one who thinks Parker isn't part of the problem? In both of the games I've seen recently (Bournemouth and Wolves) I thought he played well. Parker's replacement, hopefully, is already at the club - Hyndman. What we need more than new signings is to start playing the players we've already got in the right positions. If Hugo leaving results in McCormack actually playing as an out and out striker, I'd be all for it.

”Manchester United have snapped up Kayne Diedrick-Roberts after the 15-year-old is released by Fulham.

The youngster was released by the Craven Cottage club because they already had three promising strikers for his age group but United believe he has potential to improve and have given him a contract.

The teenager, who can play as a winger, second striker or in midfield was part of Fulham's Premier League International Cup winning squad in November and impressed United recruitment staff. Diedrick-Roberts, a pupil at Kingsdale School, London, will sign as a first year professional at United officially in July.”

Rumours around that Dutch side SC Cambuur - they are currently lying 7th in the Eredivisie (albeit a way behind leaders PSV) - have made a £200k bid for Chris David.

Can’t remember how much we paid FC Twente for him but doubt we’ll get much more than that for him now.

We should only sell if he is a disruptive influence or his relationship with Kit is beyond repair. His value can't go much lower than £200k and, although I've not seen much of him, he has to be worth a bit more than that. At least give him a run out before cutting losses, the last action I saw of him was a pearler from outside the area.

Yeah, it was indeed a corker; in the last game of last season against Palace. That's him celebrating the goal in the pic above - he's a bit chubbier than that at the moment however.

Doesn't look as if Hugo's Sunderland aspirations will be met if Defoe signs for them. He's reported as having a medical at the moment .

Hmmm, Defoe might sign just in time to play against us in the cup. Let's hope he's a little rusty. And Jet lagged. And ill.

Cambur are unlikely to have a lot of money so we are not going to get big money for David, it's a shame it hasn't worked, a lot of ability and bags if potential but rumour has it an attitude to match! If we do have to sell for a low fee I would put in a large sell on clause

Looks very much on the cards - he's just signed a three-and-a half year contract in a swap with Altidore.

[Blimey though, a 3.5 yr contract for a 32 yr old. It's almost Parkeresque!]

There are reports that Boca Juniors are interested in Bryan Ruiz. Their president speaking on in South American football show said,

"We are working on three players, none are In Argentina, they are playing outside. Gaston Ramirez is one and we are seeing the possibility of a player from Costa Rica." When pushed on whether the Costa Rican was Ruiz, he continued "yes, yes we are looking at him"

During the course of the course of the interview, he confirmed that no offer has yet been made but that they are "continuing discussion to try and sign him.”

Meanwhile in post match interviews yesterday Kit was saying,

"I would think there is a chance (of him leaving), but there's nothing for him at the moment. I had a good chat with him on Friday and he's very committed, he wanted to be involved.”

    Hmmm ….

If he does go, as seems likely since otherwise he’ll go for nothing in the summer, and if we’re also going to lose Chris David then bringing in a creative No 10 will surely be a priority in this window?

Or, will we go stick or bust on Ross McCormack in that role?
