glad he's gone to be honest! anyone know how to stop not606 emailing you on every reply? i've been in options/preferences, unticked a lot of stuff but it still emails on every thread i am subscribed to
Sounds painful! The question has been asked so should hopefully hear within the next few hours. In the meantime - have another beep
yep, of course. under alert preferences i go to preferences. i then untick "and receive email notifications of replies", then save. but i still get emails. i didnt used to before the site changed look. beep back.
Still awaiting news from the site creator, but have received this info from another mod: We had the same problem with another user. The trouble is that he still has threads in his "watch list" and because they were added when the send emails box was selected they continue to do so. Tell him to go here: http://www.not606.com/watched/threads- I assume this will bring up his own list of threads watched. I can't see a way to clear the list automatically but if he goes into each thread and clicks "unwatch thread", which is to the right hand side, level with the page numbers at the top, it should stop the emails.
http://www.not606.com/watched/threads/all found it. if you go there, then in the top right pick "disable email notifications" from the drop down. this will affect all threads you tick on that page
http://www.not606.com/watched/threads/all - top right, try disabling email notifications Yep - that's the response from the site creator. Glad it's sorted
Good article from Ketts on CAFCPicks. (41 minutes ago) Ketts saideeters HAD to go. There wiere no tears shed from either players or staff. The affection for Riga, & particularly Powell, with the players was not there for Peeters. The dream scenario is if a manager is liked & respected. It works if a manager is just respected (Fergie) & to a lesser extent if they are just liked. If a manager is neither liked nor respected he has no chance. Take some of the players who played well under Riga such as Fox, Wilson, Harriott & even Jackson, why have they been shadows of their former selves this season? Peeters' overly cautious tactics were neither effective nor popular. We started well, but all 6 wins have been by a single goal. Many of those wins were thanks to heroic defensive performances, we were never going to carry on winning games with sub 40% possession. For sure BP had injuries to deal with but so did every other club. Blackburn had injuries plus a virus in the camp & fielded a hugely weakened team in the Cup but were light years ahead of us. When senior pllayers go to the board, a club has real problems. Things went really downhill following BP's ill judged public attack on Ben Haim. A manager's job is to protect his players, not hang them out to dry. The results, the winless run, tell their own tale. RD has to learn fast, letting Riga & Paul Hart go were major errors. Peeters had a hugely inflated opinion of his own ability, players aren't mugs, they quickly sussed he was out of his depth. The next appointment HAS to be right, the new man has to quickly gain the players' confidence. Those going to Watford on Saturday will see a Charlton team playing with spirit again, the dark cloud has been removed, Peeters HAD to go.
I don't think it was just Ketts who sussed that Peeters was out of his depth. The writing has been writ large on the wall since early November. His comment about being too angry to enter the dressing room after the Ipswich home defeat was what you would expect to hear from a Sunday Pub League manager, not the Head Coach of CAFC in the Championship. Ultimately BP was handed a golden chance tht his CV did not warrant him getting, and he blew it. Good riddance. Now we have to hope that Douche Bag has learned his lesson at last.
Good article. Now that the dust has settled I'm taking a more positive view, at least until we know who our next manager is. Naming and shaming your own players never works. And until the next manager is chosen I'm going to believe Katrien's statement that no-one has been chosen yet. Roland made a huge error appointing Bob, and that error has been rectified.
[QUOTE="Royston Vasey, post: 7489564, member: 1025865"Ultimately BP was handed a golden chance tht his CV did not warrant him getting, and he blew it. Good riddance.[/QUOTE] That's it. I think he came in knowing he was out of his depth so gave himself a new identity, and one that didn't work.
From whats said in the press so far from CAFC, i'd be positive we will get those couple of solid signings we have been singing for. Curbs/signings... we will be pressing for top two
Has there been any names in terms of signings? I'm not able to keep up to date as much currently, so might (hoping) have missed something?
