A game we could do without - not least because the confidence of Kit’s current regulars is shot to pieces at the moment. Arguably he could turn around the same team and say, “prove yourselves”. But I don’t reckon he’ll go that route. Instead he’ll take it as an opportunity to “rest” a few.

And what an opportunity it could be to play the likes of Chris David. However there appears to be a big fall-out and the likelihood is that David if off in this window. And Bryan?? Likewise his future is in doubt and we probably don't want him cup-tied (not that an English club will be coming in for him) .

My guess is that the line-up will be mostly ‘young guns’ but will wait to see who plays for the U21s against Southampton tonight before making a stab at the team.

what's happened with Chris David, C58?

I hope we can score tonight, Wolves are very physical. Not sure the young un's can handle it.

Other than that I agree that some will be rested. Who is anyone's guess.

Him and Kit clearly don't get on. Everybody seems to think it's Chris David's attitude but I'm not so sure. Although Kit played him a lot when he was looking after the U21s I always had the impression that it was relunctantly. Whether that was because David was seen as Jol's wonder kid .. I don't know. But there was something not right between them.

I've never been David's bigggest fan and indeed have posted here about him being selfish, Taarabt like even. However, there's no doubt he's got talent and a creativity that we are sadly lacking at the moment. You really would have thought he was worth an outing or two.

PS the Wolves game is tomorrow Craving, it's the U21s v Southampton tonight.

I know it's not the right thing to say but we're not going to win the cup this year so I'll take an early exit. If we played a Premier league team we could be horribly exposed.

COYW, we seem to be horribly exposed at time against lowly placed champs: sides

it is sad to see that in a position we are clearly suffering Kit is small minded in the respect. David I think can be good and no worse than Ruiz.

Well Chris David and Thomas Eisfeld played for the U21s last night so they won’t be featuring. As did Kaca but as I recall, neither he nor Ryan Tunnicliffe are eligible anyway. So it looks as though Kit will continue with the ‘old’ guard, maybe throwing George Williams in to mix it up a bit?

Whatever, as Craving said, let’s hope for a goal or more (with our defence ‘more’ will probably be needed!). And hopefully Kit has drummed a shoot on sight philosophy into them. Even if that means Cauley Woodrow continuing to emulate Bobby Zamora and row Z - one of them will surely go in, won't it?

Pleased about that and getting them in on Sunday. Hopefull though it's the system he makes a 'few changes' to and not just the line-up.

Unlike others I'm "up for the cup". It will be exactly 40 years since our one and only visit to Wembley and as time goes by so does my memory. A re-visit this year would be exactly the jolt I need.

Team: Bettinelli, Grimmer, Hutchinson, Bodurov, Stafylidis, Parker, Fofana, Kavanagh, McCormack, Woodrow, Dembele.
Subs: Kiraly, Zverotic, Roberts, Rodallega, Fotheringham, Williams, Burn.

No real surprises but Kit's resting Hugo, and persisting with Fofana and keeping Williams on the bench.

I still fancy a trip to Sunderland, albeit a challenge to get through tonight.

It's all happening now, after a very uneventful game last time out this game seems to be producing a bit more. 3 goals in 5 minutes!!

2-2. A 2nd for Cauley as well, good stuff.

    Going into extra time.

Mentioned it on the last thread about Wolves having just played on Sunday so we got a days extra rest, could it now become an advantage? Could be quite a few tired legs in the Wolves side now.

McCormack scores in the 120th minute, literally with the last kick of the ball to take the game to pens.

5 perfect pens from the Fulham lads and it's into the 4th round we go.

I'm both chuffed we're through to the next round, and gutted because I bought tickets the Forest game on the 24th.
