Can`t see Poyet going to the mags. That would mean Ashley paying us.

Let`s face it Ashley won`t pay anybody if he can avoid it.

Not a competition though is it mate, only one of them is sat in one of 20 Premier League jobs bleating on like he's hard done by and alienating his players.

PDC did that, he got fired.

Is he trying to get some action from the board. You know them. The non football business types who sit round the table discussing income, expenditure, profit & loss accounts. **** all about the team, players, fans hopes and other non business related matters. How are they earning their keep? How are they creating income to invest in players?

    Money grabbing bastards.
Am in danger of going on a serious rant here mind. <grr>

The way I see it Pops, he knew the setup of the club when he came in.

He knew it when he signed a new deal.

Now, as far as I can see, he is using that same setup to hide his own deficiancies 'we need to play a certain way, we don't have the players'.

    Change. The. ****ing. Way.

I look at teams in the bottom half and are we inferior ability wise? Far, far from it mate.

There's a word for managers that won't take responsibility. Useless.

Time for him to step up and lead, instead of cowering behing endless inane patter and bullshit.

We have several players most teams around us would kill for, Seb, Fletch, 2 keepers, Giacc, Alvarez, Rodwell, AJ PVA, more.

For me GUS has got it wrong by pretending he's bigger than football and only 'his way', the one that is failing, is right for us as a club.

Remember the Reidy team, a throwback to many years past with wingers that people said 'didn't work any more'. It did.

there's a million ways to win a football game, Gus has tried only this one.

You know mate, we are all so passionate about the club on here, it's such a part of our lives.

I get to thinking Gus thinks he's above us.Yeah, you played for Chelsea, whoopy ****ing do mate, it means **** all.

Prove yourself, show some character. At the minute it's cowardly.

He was sharp enough to take his credit for the cup final and 'miracle' even trying to make out his pathetic 'I give up' press conference after Spurs was in some way inspirational.

    **** sake man.

tbh mate I don`t profess to understand this system thing. If he wants to play a certain system and the players he has can`t do it, he either changes the players or changes the system to suit the strengths of the players he`s got.

It`s exactly what Tony Pulis does to very good effect.

The Tony Pulis thing haunts me a little, I wonder what he could do here, I think it would be major. I really do.

I'd happily watch us win ugly and finish 7th like.

He plays to the strengths of the players he`s got. Whether it`s passing, hoofing or crunching. That`s what he`s got, that`s what he uses. A very simple but very effective technique. It lasts until such time as he can improve the team the way he wants it.

It`s not a question of moulding the players to suit his style. It`s the other way round. It`s not pretty (at least to start with) but we`ve all seen it work.

Yep, a good manager in any walk of life makes the best use of what they have, plays to their strengths.

I really think with a 4-4-2 we'd be a better side, Fletch and Connor could compliment eachother, leave Catts back and have wingers drilled to track back.

People say it's 'old fashioned', erm, no, not really, you just need to have players coached in their off the ball roles.

That falls back to the coach... and that is where again we will hit a brick wall.

If any manager at any club produced a winning a team the crowds would flock in regardless of the style of football. What scares me a little bit are the teams below us playing with passion and speed whilst we stick to the same strategy until we go a goal down.

No chance of that happening. If it did, I'd record myself singing the Lambton Worm and I'd post it up on here for everyone to mock.

He is also not what we need. Remi Garde is my man!

Nothing wrong with that at all. I wonder if that`s what Gus is looking for with wingbacks in a fully fit squad? No reason reason why overlapping shouldn`t work in your set up. Provided they know their jobs and cover each other. Sounds good to me.
