Only 3 draws all season but I think we are entering draw mode. 4 draws and 2 wins in those six and so 10pts.

I have still got my old saints head on. This team is always surprising me and who knows what this team can achieve.

    Proud to be a saint.

Don't ask me why but I would be happier if we had a couple of bigger teams coming up in the next 6 games. These measly QPR away, West Brom home games worry me. We are full of confidence and the inflation bordering on hysteria by the media puts our side in danger of being over-confident. I'm probably just waiting on us slipping up again, that's the pessimist in me. I guess what I'm trying to say is that because we beat Arsenal and Man United it doesn't guarantee us wins against QPR and West Brom. We were awful against Villa despite being in scintillating form, I would be happy with 12 points from those 6 games, it would help if Spurs, Man United, Arsenal and even Liverpool all had the occasional off-day.

AND I AM DESPERATE FOR US TO SINK THE SCOUSERS.

I'm ignoring the WBA game for one moment. Looking at our remaining fixtures, I've drawn a line after the Liverpool game - I've got a group of five and a group of four, taking us through to the start of April.

10 points from these next five is my minimum target. I'm not saying that it's prediction, nor am I saying that it's what I am aiming for (you should aim for more than your minimum target). But I do believe that we will just about remain on course for the top four if we can get 10 points from these next five.

Man City-Arsenal, Spurs-Arsenal, Liverpool-West Ham, West Ham-Man Utd, Liverpool-Spurs, and Spurs-West Ham all take place during the next five rounds of games. Given that we have a three point, and superior GD, head start on 5th place right now, the existence of all of those fixtures means that I really can't see us being outside of the top four in five games time should we pick up 10 points.

Furthermore, if we are to achieve a top four finish by effectively "doing an Arsenal", then picking up 10 points would see us bang on track for that. If you split the other 19 teams into a group of six, a group of 12, and Everton (some might say a group of five, a group of 12, and Everton and Spurs - but I don't), then 24 wins out of 24 against that group of 12 plus one point vs Everton is a total of 73 points. And broadly that is what "doing an Arsenal" entails. And whilst we have dropped a total of seven points vs WBA, Villa and Burnley, we have picked up ten rather vs Everton, Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea rather than just the one. So we're up by two points on my target. Ergo rather than needing to win four of these five (plus a defeat vs Liverpool), three wins and one draw would suffice.

What's slightly bizarre is that having written all that (and I really do believe in all of it), I'm trying my best to just say "one game at a time". Rarely have I accepted that mantra to be so important and relevant as I think it is now.

3 wins - but they have to be against saggy-face, spammers and Southamptons' Second XII

    Newcastle (A) Win
    Swansea (H) Win
    QPR (A) Loss
    West Ham (H) Win
    Liverpool (H) Draw
    West Brom (A) Draw

11 points, which feels like it might be pessimistic, but it's still a good return. Don't know what to make of that QPR away match; their home record is quite good, though they've mainly played the bottom half at Loftus, but I can't ever bring myself to believe that we won't slip up somewhere.

    Newcastle (A) Win 0-1
    Swansea (H) Win 2-0
    QPR (A) Lose 2-1
    West Ham (H) Draw 1-1
    Liverpool (H) Win 2-1
    West Brom (A) Draw 1-1

A lot will depend on what happens in the transfer window, good time to play Newcastle and Swansea with Cisse/Tiote and Bony away.
QPR look good at home, and i really think that could be the hardest game of the 6, and when Twitchy signs 6 new players on deadline day it may give them a lift.
West Ham is winnable, but if Carroll stays fit we may have to settle for a draw, really fancy us to beat the bin dippers as everyone is going to be right up for that one, and if Lovren plays can see him going to pieces, and the Pulis effect may be enough to stop us winning at WBA, depending on who they bring in and lose in the transfer window.

    3 draws, 3 wins.
    Newcastle win
    Swans win
    QPRl draw
    Ham draw
    Liv draw
    Brom win
12 points. With the confidence in the defence I cannot see us losing a game, our weakness is up front.

We need to win them all to maintain our title challenge... I really don't want Chelsea to win it. If we leave it to city they will likely screw it up on the last day playing us! :D

It looks a ridiculous unbeaten run once I typed it but taken individually i cant see us losing against any of these teams at the moment.

Actually, I think they are all winnable however that will down to keeping our best 14-15 players fit and playing
For the next few weeks we only have two front line CBs available so any injury or suspension there will cause serious issues, same goes for Pelle.
    Optimistic though.....COYRs

    I would take 12 points.

    My head says 11.

I like these threads because after an unexpected couple of wins coming back to them makes me happy.

    Dear Santa

I note that you didn't leave me the winning lottery ticket I asked for, nor did you come up with trumps when I asked for dance lessons from Natalie of Strictly fame. So, come on, this is your big chance to redeem yourself. Southampton 5 Liverpool 0 will do nicely. Bragging rights are at stake.

Oh, and I'll settle for finishing second in the table, so won't get greedy. I'll settle for a draw at WBA and so 16 points in total.

    Thanks
