True. Wilshere also happens to be a box to box midfielder, but then he is probably too thick to compute the fact that ciagrattes are not good for his health.
Well, those photos of Chesney smoking show he has form, and the Guardian is now reporting a form of the story: www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jan/06/wojciech-szczesny-arsenal-regain-place-stoke-city - Looks like it's extremely likely that he WAS caught smoking and the story is likely true. No jumping to conclusions or unnecessary slating, he full-on deserves it if he's dropped for this.
Yet again football players show their arrogance and stupidity. It's a fairly short career and if you really want to you can go nuts once you've retired and smoke and drink all you want.
I don't really give a **** if he smokes being a keeper but I imagine the club has a pretty strict policy against it. If he's flauting it that's one thing but to then do it after a game he's played so badly in, in front of everyone beggars belief. The guy doesn't come across all that smart. FWIW I don't think he's been bad this season, Saints aside. He's taken a small step back but a big part of that has to go to the defence/midfield playing so poorly too and not helping him. With a steady back four I think the confidence/communication will build and he'll push on.
htf does he smoke in the shower, his snoz ain't that big. seriously, you all think these guys don't partake in a bit of class A and the like just like Rio X who legged it from his drug test because he had a load of charlie in his system. Mutu sacked for it, Maradona played whist on it. Merson.. Gascoine.. you think all that is a thing of the past? Nope.
I see Chensey has now been dropped. Ospina has to have a mare or get injured for Chensey to get another chance. His career at Arsenal is in the balance at the moment.
I think Szczesny might come in for the cup games. But Wenger can't drop Ospina in the league at the moment.
This sort of similar to what happened a few seasons ago,!but luckily for Chensey after he got dropped, Flappy got injured and Chensey got another long run in the team, he might not be so lucky this time around. It's a shame really, because he did have great potential and keepers like De Gea and Courtois have kicked on and developed into world keepers while Chensey has gone backwards. And to the people that tried to deny the smoking story, I hope you now learn to trust a good source the next time they break a story about Arsenal.
I tried to deny nothing it was that ****ing OXOcube talking bollocks again. Szczensy is a twat for doing that. Wenger must see it as talking the piss and so rightly he's dropped him for it. But I think he'll give him another chance.
All depends on how good Ospina is really. The league and CL is everything, and if Ospina does well, I can't see how Chensey can get another chance. Also considering his massive ego, I doubt he will be happy to be number two for too long.
I know he hasn't had lots to do yet, but I can't fault Ospina when he's come into the team. He looks like a really solid unfussy keeper.
Also he is miles better than Chensey with the ball at his feet. Always amazed me how Chensey could never improve his abysmal goal kicks.
Yeah he's got a belter of a goal/drop kick, that alone sometimes can put the opposition back into their final 3rd. Szczesny's kicking and passing out at the back has caused more than a few heart attacks.
In fairness to Chezzers, de Gea and Cortouis have both played a lot more top flight games than him if you include AM (which I do). He's young and immature but the talent is there if he can harness it. He had a face like a slapped arse whenever the camera panned to him on the weekend!
This is Chesney's 4th season as a number 1 keeper (fifth if you count Brentford). It is Courtois' fourth too (fifth if you count Genk) and De Gea's fifth... and they've both looked quality for a while, not just now they're into their fifth seasons. So hardly 'a lot more top flight games'.
I can't find the statistics I read yesterday but De Gea had an extra season under his belt and Courtois had played more too (maybe not "lots" though). If you want to count Brentford as a top flight club to try and disprove me then be my guest and act the c*nt. I'm neither justifying his actions not saying he's better than either, merely offering some perspective. It's frustrating as I was hoping he'd kick on after a great year but he's stagnated, partly I'd say, to a constantly changing back 4 who don't know what they're doing. I still maintain he's not been that bad, Southampton aside. I don't see anyone chewing out Courtois after the Spuds match. ...though Maureen did drop him so presumably he did!
'Act the c*nt'? I merely said he had four seasons as number 1 and five if you count Brentford. And the same for Courtois. Not sure how Genk is anymore more 'top flight' football than Brentford. They're both sub-standard leagues. De Gea has one proper top flight season extra on each of them (five to their four). There is no significant difference there. Bottom line is this... when you see Chesney in the team sheet are you confident? Do you think the defenders are? My image of him is as a clown, not a dedicated pro.
Always thought that Szczensy was dropped for his average performances and Wenger has now come out and said that is the case. Can't see any player who is in form being dropped for that, they would just get a bollocking!
