OK here is my theory as to why we will finish on 38/39 points, pure touch and go as to whether that is enough. Gus Poyet as Sunderland/Premier league manager Played 52 Won 13 Drew 18 Lost 21 Total points won 57 57 points divided by games played (52) = 1.09 points per game There is 17 games left, so 1.09 points multiplied by the 17 = 18.63 We currently have 20 points, so depending on whether you round up or down, add another 38/39 points Slow day at work today
Totally agree, im hoping a few fresh faces will change that, but with just over 2 weeks left, its looking bleak
This team will not get 18/19 points it is so obvious, we might beat Villa and that is it, we will need to win at Stoke or Everton because they will not be up for the fight like the teams around us. Hopefully the Defoe deal will go through this week and that might save us. One win in every 7 this season is poor.
Prediction 1) We will grind out 16-17 points and end up safe yet again. Just! Prediction 2) Gus leaves during the summer.
Football doesn't work like that though.. You have to factor which teams we're playing and when, home or away, etc... Reckon you're probably about right though haha
Probably doesn't but by law of averages this is what we are looking at. Time can only tell, but I'd probably take 39 points right now
Knowing our lot we'll probably lose against Burnley and QPR then pull off away wins at United and Chelsea like last season. You can guarantee that we'll be the first team to fail to beat QPR at home like, it's written in the stars.
We used all our good luck tokens last year. If we can't get 40+ points with our squad either the players deserve to go down or Gus deserves to get sacked. Or both...
Well I`m sick of keep looking for the minimum points. Same thing year after year. Same question year after year. What do we need to survive? Pissed off with it tbh.
