I think you'll find it was Cleethorpes.

Cleethorpes to be precise. It has been mentioned many times in the local media down the years.

He has had quite a career. You would have thought they would have made more of his connection with the place.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_Temperton

Cleethorpes is part of Greater Grimsby, so it's still Grimsby and it certainly doesn't warrant a debate.

So Grimsby isn't the answer to which club doesn't play any of its games at home?

I'd imagine there's quite a few recently built stadia that are not within their club's city boundaries.

    Brighton springs to mind.

I'm sure there'll be more if someone can be arsed to research it. I can't.

Most of the group Sade were from Hull, though the singer herself is a Londoner.

I think the initial list here had several things that many people in Hull would actually know about and so aren't that lesser known. Everyone there has probably heard of Amy Johnson for instance.

Of course, as you know, the question used to refer to which was the only league club to play all its games away.

Indeed, though as they're no longer a league club, it no longer applies.

Can't think of any. Brighton's ground is in the Brighton and Hove unitary authority (the Goldstone was in (Hove) but part of the car park is in Lewes. That was what held it up when Prescott was involved because Lewes council put in an objection.

Everton's potential new site in Kirkby is outside of Liverpool, which hasn't been overly popular.

Which doesn't qualify as a new stadium which has been built outside the city boundaries. Can't think of any which have.
