    :emoticon-0102-bigsm SHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh..... :emoticon-0127-lipss

John Vicars - whose Twitter handle is @johnrvicars – wrote afterwards: “Proved today this team can play another way and actually quite amusing that we beat them at their own game #routeone.”

He added: “From me and Sam (Rush, chief executive) thanks very much to the travelling 873 for making the trip and making some noise in the library, memorable and important win.”

To be fair, I wouldn't describe Carrow Road as a 'cauldron' most days, though admittedly its better than many, including the portaloo from my own experiences. Derby's own home crowd is as quiet as a mouse most of the time. He is right though, they did score from a route one punt down field! I thought Derby controlled the game after the opening few exchanges but never really created anything. Ipswich were poor and limited to long range efforts. Their fans may claim otherwise but they are still very, very direct - but its working for them!

I think he needs to grow up a bit, If he thinks derby was a whole lot better than us then he needs to go to specsavers. overall poor game by both clubs. They got very lucky, I can't remember our keeper having a save to make, unlike Lee Grant who had at least 3 good saves.

as for supers, we were more direct on Saturday for the last hour of the game, that's why we didn't play well, if you look at some of our goals in our good run a lot are by good one touch passing and getting crosses in or high pressure making the defending team makes mistakes.

Hmm, less than 21,000 there, despite their lofty league position? We were getting crowds that eclipsed that in League one, vs Tranmere, Orient, etc <doh>
Anyhow, must dash - I've got my red and white Southampton scarf to iron ready for Wednesday night :1980_boogie_down::emoticon-0136-giggl

P.S. I'm willing to bet the atmosphere next Saturday for the Cardiff game eclipses anything we've seen in almost two years - ancient 1-0 wins vs Arsenal and ManicUre excepted <ok>

I think you'd be at least 6 points clear if your fans could be bothered to turn up and urge the team on- lets hope that lack of support doesn't come back to haunt you by the end of the season

Speaking of boring - I loved Hughton's comments after Brighton's win at the weekend...

"I've tried to get a good balance. They have been quite an expansive team and are able to pass this football around and keep possession.

"I don't want to take too much of that away from them but at times we need to be more compact and tougher to beat."

Ever heard of the word 'compromise' Chris? There is such a thing as a blend of styles, dependent on the state of that particular game at that partuicular time. Not 'one size fits all'

but it is true what I said Rob, are there extra points given for attendance? I would much rather have a side competing at the top with a half empty ground than a full ground struggling at the bottom!

I'll have to take your word for it. Each time I've seen you this season you've played pretty terrible! But there's no way you'd be third in the league had you been that poor every week.

Can't recall these 'good' saves either by the way. He had more to do, for sure, but it was all pretty routine stuff. Derby looked the better side to me but there wasn't much in it and 0-0 would have been fair. And yes, he probably shouldn't have said that. So why did he? What ruffled his feathers?

Wasn't Warky banging on about how big your attendances now are?

Admittedly he made it all up but still.....
