I reckon this is going to be a breakthrough season for the Ox. He looked good at the beginning of last season before he got injured and he's looked good in pre-season this time around. With Walcott out he's likely to get more time on the right flank, which for me is his best position.

Ox is a fearless player who is willing to take people on and shoot, when he's in full flow he's very similar to Walcott albeit with a bit more physical strength. I'm predicting a big year for the Ox this time around.

I think you might be right, he looked good in the Emirates cup and with Walcott's absence will be able to prove himself. Not sure if will get to play on the right and whether Wenger will prioritise Sanchez on the right? Not sure how effective both players are on the left. Giroud will be the obvious player for CF, so Sanchez will play on either flank. Also remember we have Campbell, Cazorla and Podolski vying for the flanks, so OXO will have to really play well to keep on playing. The forward flank areas are the most competitive in our team outside the central midfield areas.

Really? They are both quick players on the wing but i see them as two completely different players. Theo is all about trying to beat a man on the wing and crossing or running on to a pass and shooting. Oxo is more of a dribbler and passer and builder. I think Wenger sees it the same as he sees Oxo in Cm and Theo as a st/wf. They both have speed but very different players.

Spot on, they are not similar at all. OXO is an AM that can play on either flank or in the center as an attacking midfielder. He uses his skills more to beat players and can keep possession and pass it around in midfield. Walcott is a striker who has adapted to play on the wings and is all about pace and getting into goal side action. Walcott has learned to dribble more, defend and cross but he is a striker through and through.

I was referring more to their wing play. Both players are willing to take fullbacks on and try to get round thier man to either shoot or set up a team mate. But I agree that overall they play a different game in different positions

Could well be Sir. Chamberlain has all the ingredients to make an impact.

Not sure where he will fit in though once Walcott is fit.

Its a huge year for Wilshere IMO. He has to start living up to his potential.

At his best I think he starts ahead of Arteta in our midfield.

He also looked like England's most exciting player before his minor injury.

Another good game from the Ox tonight. Looking like one of our best players so far this season.

The Ox has soo much potential. He needs to score goals though.

A fit Walcott will get us 20+ a season I'll be suprised if Chamberlain gets 10.

Walcott will return then pick up another injury. He is becoming like Diaby. No point even mentioning him now.

Hmm.. I dunno. As much as I like the Ox I wouldn't like to see him as a first choice option unless he dramatically improves on goals and assists.

In the modern game players like him (Reus,Walcott, Hazard) - are expected to get 15 plus goals a Season. He has so far managed 11 goals in 105 games.

Walcott and the OX are two different players in terms of style. Walcott is a forward, therefore you would expect his finishing to be better. The OX is more of a central player and contributes other things. He is stronger than Walcott and his dribbling for me is better than Walcott's, he also has a better range of passing, although he does often play sloppy passes, which concerns me more than the lack of goals. Walcott is a pretty basic player, but he excels in the few things he does well. There is room for him in the first team because he can beat a man and that is massive. Also the assists are a bit of red hiring in my eyes, the fact we do not have a lethal CF does not help the OX.

Giroud and Welbeck need two or three chances to score one and that's a problem for the creative players that are giving the service.

Another really good performance from the Ox. He's really starting to look like the player we'd hope would develop. He's fast, direct and has tons of energy, not disimilar to Sanchez. He's got a wicked shot on him too and he's starting to get one or two goals, if he can start finding the net more frequently he will become a really dangerous player. Great player to have in our team, he's one of those who can turn the opposition around in a flash and that's the type of player Wenger loves.

The ox is really something special but he must start delivering the final ball or finish off the move. Otherwise it will be to keep him on week in- and out.
