Why would you want Southampton to do well, they are now a rival of ours for top 4. Wishing them all the best is just patronising IMO!
How did Dowd not give us a single penalty from Smalling's assaults on Pelle? He was rugby tackling him at every corner with Dowd 12 ft away yet ignored?
yes we were robbed of adding to our goal difference We could have won 4,5,6 nil with those penalties and still heard Van Gaal say that United dominated.

We haven't missed Luke Shaw at all thanks to an excellent season from Mr Bertrand. And we have Matt Targett waiting in the wings, .so we're pretty well served with LBs. Luke's loss, not ours, him going up there. Though I suppose if he wants cheering up he just has to look at his bank statements.
Saints fan in peace. I don't understand why so many people criticise Rooney for being "overrated". Firstly,if he is, it's nothing to do with him, rather the people who overrate him. Secondly, as s.o. said above, the hype about him stopped some time ago. Thirdly, he's a naturallly intelligent and gifted footballer who can be a matchwinner on his day, but of course he isn't every day. I give thanks that he had an average day today and not a good one - had he done so, we'd have lost before half-time IMO.

Can't disagree with that at the moment. LVG needs to do a lot better than he's doing so far. His signings have been questionable, and his tactics even more so. He hasn't had much luck with injurys, but with no Europe as you say we really should be up nearer the top 2. The top 2 positions have already gone, it's a battle for 3rd we are involved in now
I much prefer that to last years battle for 6th! Still, i do find it odd that we were actually getting better results when our expensive signings were injured.
