Yeh weve beaten them when they have had 77% possession and weve had 3 or 4 shots all game. Weve beaten them with a midfield of rafael and park, weve put 8 past them with cleverley and anderson as a midfield pairing. Weve lost once at the emirates. Once. We site back and play on the break, every single time we go (bar moyes last season). It was the very definition of text book. You think because arsenal had a few shots and some nice possession it makes them the better side. Perhaps you should look up tye meaning of defence because neither you or arsene seem to notice the one defender arsenal left back at all times... I would call that naive, suicidal and downright amateurish. We should have won 3-0 but arsenal were really unlucky. Wilshere had a shot saved after all.... What else did they do bar miss time after time and get ripped apart on the break?
Your previous successes have f** all to do with it, as they were under the leadership of the best manager of all time. Moyes had a hoodoo over City, he owned Mancini, but Martinez hasn't had a sniff. You're trying to make out he fell back on some time honoured tactical nous, when the reality is you got battered and then lucky with the OG and then stung them on the break at the death. Reality will dawn in the none too distant
Reality of what. Our full squad being available soon? It sure will. Im lookimg forward to seeing us play without a handicap. Oh and our previous meetings have a hell of a lot to do with it. Arsenal are desperate to beat us. Every previous results plays on their minds in the weeks leading up to and the weeks after a united arsenal game.
I don't think we'll win the league. I don't even think we'll at any point get close enough for it to be considered a title challenge. But... We rode our luck in the first 30 minutes against Arsenal but once the inexperienced defence had calmed down I thought we were more than competitive and ultimately clinical (apart from Di Maria's comedy miss). We've played numerous similar games away to Arsenal. Let them have the ball and hit them on the break. Every time we beat a team managed by an ex-United player the haters say the opposition rolled over. We don't always win those games so why do they roll over selectively? Why would Bruce want to do LVG a favour? It's one of those lame excuses that opposition fans use as a comfort blanket. We were lucky in the last minute against Stoke, I'll give you that. The game should have been out of sight by then but it wasn't as Wilson missed a chance he really should have taken. I don't think Stoke are mugs though. They outplayed Liverpool at Anfield and ran Arsenal ragged at times yesterday. I think the optimism is based on a gradual improvement and climb up the table as injuries have eased and the manager has had more options to select from. Bear in mind that we are still deploying two wingers as the full backs. According to the sages on here we are also now playing a left back at centre half which I suppose is an improvement on having to use a central midfielder there!
Pretty much, or you could lay it off with Betfair at better than half the odds, in which case your definitely not a moron
so... if i put £500 on cheslea to win then put a tenner on lfc to win i can cover my bet... bascially... except the bookie can hold my 500 in his account not mine. no i think i'd rather sink the 10 psot on a few bevvies.
The BV price is a promo one (Everton are shorter FFS) so you lay pool for 380/1 and you'd either win a **** load (not gonna happen) or lose nowt. Only problem as you say is you'd need £3800 quid in your betfair account till the bet was settled although that looking like Feb/March TBH!!
So all Liverpool have to do to make that exercise anything other than pointless is win all 23 of their remaining league games?
