"we have not capitalised on our assets".

This would seem to be at variance with those posters who think H.Jenkins is "the man" when it comes to buying and selling negotiations.

I know and maybe he is, I don't know the ins and out. But we have had quotes saying Bony wouldn't go for less than our valuation and now it seems he has. Ben and Vorm for Siggy wasn't another disappointing deal (not from the point of bringing Gylfi home) financially, Michu being loaned!

I'm more than happy with the deal, made a pile of money for the club to progress on, and we have Gomis and Emnes to step up to the plate, not worried about bringing in another striker in January, though I will not say no if one is, hope we look for another gem rather than spending big, got my eye on a few we are named with...................<cheers>

Don't suppose we will get to know the details but Bony was supposed to be worth 20 million in Summer, he has since signed an extended contract and continued to score goals. I would have hoped if we had to sell him during the mid- season "elevated prices" transfer window we would get 30 + or not sell.

Other players we seem to have let go relatively cheaply were poz, canas, Hernandez and Chico. I would have loved to have seen Chico take on Carroll yesterday.

Did I read somewhere that Man City didn't want to declare the fee and we did and that was one of the things they were debating.

We are 10 points from the magic 40 it may be better to bank the cash until the Summer when we should be able to get better deals.

Gomis and Oliviera impressed me yesterday, unless we can get someone a la Cisse on the cheap, I'd agree and keep the money to buy Tom Carroll in the summer.

The only person who'd have been impressed If Chico played yesterday NJ would have been Tom Daley

A pairing of Fed and Chico would be pretty tough to beat.

If Chico had played yesterday Andy Carroll would have had a hat trick and we would have been down to 10 men

    He did last season.
    Why not again?
Carroll wasn't handled by any single player particularly well yesterday, Fed did OK but gave him far too much room on several occasions, Ash joined in and Leon and Tom Carroll both got in his way, but I don't think he was on song at all yesterday and played quite deep.
Chico didn't take any nonsense from Carroll, wound him and overacted because the ref had ignored Carroll elbowing Chico in the face.

I know why he left, and it was an act of petulance for him to do so.

He created a Bony thread where one already existed. I posted asking why we needed another Bony thread, and he got all umpity, and a little childish. The next thing he is out of the door.

Don't know if on here. Sky just reported, deal agteed 25m plus add ons bearing in mind there is apparently a sell on thats about 22m we get for him, no where near enough. Just feel we have given in to big club pressure if this is true. I thought we said 30 take it or leave it.
