I like your thinking. I'm still confident we'll stay up but if we did go down Abel in the championship!!! kinell no. Sign Deeney and so what if we go down. We have one of the best forwards in the division.
If celtic haven't done so yet, we need to sign John Guidetti, only £3mill and knows where the back of the net is! I know I keep banging on about him but with some of the names been mentioned at a higher price, I see this as a better deal!
The problem with that is watford would want stupid money to sell him and have also said he isn't for sale at any price
I wonder if we'll start being linked with a few more players now Bruce has made a public rallying cry for some transfer funds? As much as they probably aren't people's 'cup of tea', I think at this stage of a season, the transfers which work best tend to be those experienced/used to English football - so the likes of Steven Fletcher, Wes Hoolahan, Hugo Rodellega - maybe even someone like Anya at Watford who under their new manager only seems to be getting cameo appearances. Or Deeney as many have mentioned, but will probably cost too much. All the players we've been linked with seem to be either youngsters or foreign - that's the same mistake Fulham made last January when fighting relegation.
I wonder if people would complain at him being in prison. Actually, Ched Evans is out of contract, Bruce has given him his support in the media, we need a striker, problem solved.
It looks like Ramirez is heading to Boca Juniors (on loan) that will free up 2 loan slots, defo need at least two strikers, a creative midfielder and a LB or RB that extra loan spot could come in handy!
Aston Villa have emrged as favourites to sign Januzaj on loan, I would of liked to see him here but I doubt we need another winger!
If we aren't getting rid of Aluko, then wouldn't buying 2 strikers give us 5 in the squad in total? What happens when Jelavic and Hernandez are fit again? I think we'll loan one, because I can't see Bruce dropping our record signing or our top goalscorer.
Scott Sinclair is available for £3mill pound, judging by his performances at swansea, I rate him....not had it too go at man city or when he went out on loan to West Brom, may be lacking confidence.
"Hull City loanee Gaston Ramirez is set to join Boca Juniors from Southampton on a six-month loan deal" "Southampton very close to finalize the loan of Gaston Ramirez to Boca Juniors for 6 months, exclusive from @calciomercatoit" I only say what I read!
Looks like we might not be the only ones looking for another striker... Pete O'Rourke @SportsPeteO 7m7 minutes ago Swansea City have agreed a £28m fee with Manchester City for striker Wilfried Bony. #Swansfc #MCFC
They're after someone else from Holland, can't remember his name. Either way they have that French International Gomis who looks quite capable.
I've seen the stories, but the fact remains they can't recall him unless we agree, which we may do, I'm not sure how much Bruce really rates him and it would free up another loan spot.
Blimey, given Ramirez hasn't been fit or available for more than about 3 games since we signed him in August, and isn't available at the moment, I think we really need to get rid to free up another loan slot. SB's use of loans in August (admittedly with hindsight) is one of the reasons we are in a mess - we needed at least one more striker then , not 2 more unfit attacking midfielders.
Anyone know what sort of wages Lambert is on? Hardly a pivotal pool player at the moment, needs games to try and get back in the england setup...
