loved him on mock the week
watched his shows and not sure if the fame suits him, in that he jusr focuses on controversy rather than being funny

i would love to be his manager and say cut the crap and what you think people want you to do, relax and be frankie
at his current rate/style he will run out of jokes

    His stand up is weak.

Thought he was quite funny in small doses when he was on the game show thing.

Tries to be outrageous but lacks the wit to make it funny.

    Poor mans Jerry Sadowitz.

I've heard that the material he uses at his gigs is pretty much the same stuff he used on Mock the Week. Can anyone who's seen him live confirm?

He suited Mock the Week and MTW suited him.

They're both rubbish without each other.

Having seen him live a couple of times, a lot of what was on MTW and Tramadol nights was a rehash of his stand up acts.

I like the guy but if I ever hear that gag about shaving a monkey and kicking it through topman as a put down.......

My burd tried to wind me up by telling me he was a celtic fan, thinking I wouldn't go see him live.

A ginger haired, specky, former drug abuser - who'd of thunk it.

I think he's pretty funny, but he gets his laughs more for his controversial material than being funny.

Got quite a good few stand-up DVDs and I have to say Dave Chappelle's For What It's Worth is by far the funniest.

He was interesting and funny to start with but has suffered from the same curse as every shock-comedian out there, he simply has to go farther and farther until it's no longer a funny and truthful commentary but a series of attention seeking insults for the sake of it.

His material is the same on tour as on the game shows (though often he goes a bit farther).

He doesn't do well on his own, on the shows he has others to play off of and that suits him far better. I can imagine him being really good in a set piece style comic show though.
