Coutinho drops far deeper than the others. Markovic plays on the wings - I was talking about CM.

And Coutinho plays more as a number 8 - plays as a centre mid.

You're right about Lucas who is the DM so you can't expect him to do it (unless we're judging him against very high stands I.e Matic, busquets, Vidal). But Henderson, Allen and Gerrard (at this age) cannot run with the ball.

Only had to wait an hour and a half for our match on MOTD

Haha Markovic's goal because he couldn't stop running. Paid off for once

That 2nd yellow is nailed on

He puts his hands up while sneakily doing a completely unnatural flick with his left leg behind his right, absolutely no need for him to move like that if not intentional

Didnt see the game today as was out furniture shopping. Just watched MOTD and Markovic seemed impressive. Could be a player if he keeps this up

He was excellent in the first half then faded in second half as a result of a tactical change, where he moved more central.

Which was disappointing because Rodgers made 3 changes - taking Gerrard off, shifting Can into midfield and moving Marko into the middle. All because he wanted to bring Lovren back into the defence.

Really pleased for Markovic as yesterday's performance from him slightly eased my fears that he'll end up being another Ryan Babel. Also I thought Can had a great game especially when he was moved into his proper position.

We could still do with a better striker and a better keeper but that's 7 games unbeaten now

he's at least showing some ability. thats the thing for 3/4 months he was bloody awful. he showed absolutely no evidence of anything but now at least he's improved his showing AND has shown some flexibility and intelligence to be able to play a different role too.

He's got to continue to improve and most importantly for me he's got to put in performances against better teams that that on show for sunderland yesterday.

onwards and upwards for the lad. and Can too i hope.

Go'way MITO with your "he's got to do this and he's go to do that"! When and if you can then just maybe you can pontificate!!!

The player is showing signs of settling and finding a rhythm and pace to his game - just as some others have including Lallana and Can. So the prospects are begining to look a little rosier <ok>

Now imagine what Can and Marko can do when played in their best positions ...

Top of the (form) league <diva>

Hope recent weeks have shown why Sakho is one of our best players.

As Lawro said, Henderson, the best player in the league without the ball. Hendo is a bull and the ball is a red flag, he just wants to get it. Then it can all fall apart a bit once he has it. I think he can become a great holding mid.

Sakho should start every week. A fine player in the making.

He showed no evidence for us, he already had a reputation of being one of Europe's top players for potential (despite Tobes never hearing about him). That meant either the PL doesn't suit him or he was just adapting slowly as most technical players do, and now he's showing the latter is the case <ok>

Good to see few positive comments for a change!

Some of the new boys are showing us why they were brought now and I think they are learning to play together well and enjoying it which is key

Sturridge would have had a hatrick if he played yesterday.
