i saw a government clown has blundered in now calling on FA to put out guidelines that players convicted of certain things cannot play ever.

the thing is all these threats and sponsors saying no way...... who eacatly decides these things... the rule of law of faceless people. Who decides next... well you get let out of jail for whatever... nah sorry you're sucm you can't have a job where does the line get drawn.

this is all pc piling on to get their name in the press.

Just seen taken 3 with the missus

    5/10?

Must say neeson is geriatric and there was about 1/3? The expected action and the car chases I heard called epic were distinctly average

Decent but not as good as no 2 even which was not as good a premise as no 1

    This is England '90 UPDATE

rom fun loving fatties with bowl hairdo's and baggy jeans, snorting whizz at the town hall discos in 'spring', to becoming part of the loved up masses as they batter E's with thousands of new brothers and sisters in fields, forests & factories of England during the 'summer' of love.

Gazza’s tears. Hubble’s launch. Saddam’s invasion. Mandela’s release. This is 1990. This is England. And Lol, Woody, Shaun, Milky, Smell, Gadget, Harvey, Kell, Trev and Combo are back for the final chapter of Shane Meadows’ multi award-winning landmark series, which has started shooting in Sheffield.

It’s two years on since the less-than-festive Christmas of ‘88, with some of the gang embracing the new decade with more gusto than others. But a lot can happen in a year, and in true This is England style, the second summer of love soon gives way to a winter of discontent.

Shane Meadows says: “We will see an enormous transformation in the lives of our cast over these final four stories as Shaun writes his final chapter with the gang he loves.”

Piers Wenger, Channel 4 Head of Drama, says: “We might feel like we’ve grown up with Lol, Woody, Shaun and the gang but what Shane has planned for them in these final four parts will ensure that they are in our hearts forever.”

This is England ’90 is written by Shane Meadows and Jack Thorne, directed by Shane Meadows and produced by Mark Herbert and Bekki Wray-Rogers. The Warp Films production shoots on location in and around Sheffield.

The 4 x 60 minute series was commissioned by Piers Wenger, Channel 4 Head of Drama, with Roberto Troni Commissioning Editor.

This is England ’90 will TX on Channel 4 in 2015.

    Editor’s Notes:

Shane Meadows’ feature film This is England was released in cinemas in 2006 and won multiple awards, including the BAFTA for Best British Film and the BIFA for Best British Independent Film.

He followed it up with the four-part television series This is England ’86, co-written by Jack Thorne, which aired on Channel 4 in 2010 to critical acclaim. The serial was nominated for several awards, winning amongst others Best Writer – Drama at the RTS Awards for Meadows and Thorne, and the Best Actress BAFTA for Vicky McClure.

This is England ’88, a three-part mini-series set during the Christmas of that year and again co-written by Meadows and Thorne, aired on Channel 4 in December 2011. It won the BAFTA for Best Mini-Series, with further nominations for Vicky McClure (Best Actress) and Joseph Gilgun (Best Actor).

It's ****ing awesome isn't it. I was urging him on tensing my feet and legs and so on when he was drumming in the rehearsal when his hands start bleeding again to win the position against those others and then in the concert at the end. JK Simmon is great as the band leader. I loved how it was a music film that really should be a sports film as it was all about the physicality of playing and practicing. Like that rehearsal room, more of a boxing gym than a practice space.

I love jazz and wasn't aware that the film was about it, just brilliant stuff and the main parts are done really well, just a great feeling from the film. If you don't like Jazz it'll get you into it.

Yeah, I like a bit of jazz. Quite eclectic music taste really. Was listening to Wynton Marsalis, Ambrose Akinmusire, Charlie Parker and D'Angelo today. Gonna get the soundtrack to the film.
