Taylor let the crowd get to him, that foul given against Rose at the end summed it up, the crowd were up in arms, despite the fact Rose won the ball cleanly, and so he gave it.

There is an argument for not blaming the ref, because we were not good enough to get the win today, but when officials get multiple key decisions wrong especially in the manner they did today then its a key factor. Rose was classic inconsistent Rose, Stambouli made a good impression in all aspects of his game, Dembele looked a little bit better but still lacking in key areas, Kane drifted out of the game a bit but always looked dangerous and took his goal very well and perhaps should have had a pen, Townsend had a poor one, Chadli looked promising but perhaps lacked a cutting edge at times and Eriksen was a bit sub-par by his usual excellent standards, perhaps due to fatigue. Everyone else was a bit 'meh'. We've got a lot to improve on from that performance but previous games have shown us that some of the players have got it in them to play at a higher level than they did today. It remains a hugely frustrating game though.

I think we have to try and take this one on the chin. We have gained several lucky draws and wins this season, so it was inevitable we would soon get beat when maybe we didn't deserve to. I thought Palace's efforts and commitment was well worthy of a draw, but no more. I thought we handled a one goal lead naively and I felt we looked jaded. I suspect the new pitch didn't help. I am not a great fan of Pochettino and I thought his pre match comments were haughty and uncalled for. Hopefully he will consider his words more carefully in the future.
