So if you were the owner of a football club you would happily spend money on an injured player! get real!

Why not..? If it's a short term injury it would have no impact on his ability to play for you over the next 2-3 years.

If Messi is available on a three year deal and he's just pulled his hamstring and is out for a couple of weeks do you shrug your shoulders and not sign him?

It doesn't matter if he's injured now, they're aiming to sign him for the Summer, it doesn't make a difference to them how fit he is playing for us does it?

I think what I meant is that I wouldn't buy him just yet, after all the posts about him been recalled in Jan....

but no if Messi had pulled his hamstring, I can't imagine anyone wanting to sign him, I can't even remember a club buying an injured player, can you imagine what the fans would say "we've signed Ramirez but he can't play for 4 weeks because he's carrying an injury!

even Man Utd, had valdez working with them on his knee before even signing a contract!...your point is rubbish and has no merit at all! whatever way you want to look at it!

We signed Ben Arfa and Ramirez and neither of them were match fit when they arrived, in fact it took the latter nearly a quarter of the season to get up to speed. They weren't technically injured but they weren't fit enough to play.

they weren't technically injured and we didn't technically sign them! so technically this is another poor example! ...put the spade down, you've dug as far as you can go!

Technically, technically, technically. You can split hairs all you want for the sake of the argument.

how the hell am I splitting hairs! there is difference between signing a one year contract and a three year contract with someone, we might not even be paying his full wage, and we are not paying £3mill plus for him! for christ sake!...it isn't an argument, because you don't have a point! it is your opinion, I wouldn;t even buy a car if it had a faulty exhaust, it's fixable but it might be at that age where everything starts going on it.

Your not going to change my opinion on this, however hard you try!

We did sign them, for a season, they joined the club and became Hull City players, there's nothing techincal about it.

Well you know how old the car is when you buy it, if it's a new car with a dodgy exhaust it's worth buying and just fixing it. If the car is old you wouldn't bother. I don't know what the analogy is there.

Surely if you have a player for a year it's worse that he signs injured because your losing him for a bigger percentage of his contract.

So you're saying only a moron would sign an injured player on a permanent, long term deal, we've pointed to clubs, including our own who have signed injured players to much shorter deals, and you're sticking your head in the ground saying it doesn't happen?

People dont sign injured players, hence why they go throught a medical! maybe on loan, sure, but that was never my point...my point was who would sign Ramirez while he is out injured!

anyway move on, just agree to disagree!
