No add- ons as I think £30 million is under valuing him anyway. Incidentally Monk is saying that the money is going to be used on infrastructure rather than new players. It all depends which comes first the chicken or the egg. Improving the team will make it more desirable to want to watch the game live. Increasing the stadium size will allow this and increase the income. However, as most of the income comes from TV and selfishly I've got my season ticket, I would rather see the team strengthened.
Half on players and half on infrastructure seems more prudent. Man City's league chances VS Chelsea's league chances = Who gets Bony ...;-)
Sorry but that is not Swansea city's problem, Why should we have to drop our price because Man city try and buy up all the good players. Man city should go after a lower price striker instead of trying to Rip us off. I hope the deal falls through and a proper club comes in for him who can afford to pay the asking price.
100% spot on, Pay up what we want or **** right off. I hope HJ sticks to his guns. I think we do have a bot of an advantage here in that we still have Chelsea sniffing who may be willing to meet the asking price.
Poor/biased journalism. The move is being held up because Man City are not in a position to pay the asking price.
http://football-talk.co.uk/98550/chelsea-transfer-news-mourinho-ready-to-hijack-30m-striker-deal/? Think he would go to Chelsea ?
Hardly ripping you off They are negotiating a price for what they think the players worth and they are hardly poles apart I suspect the deal will get done at £25m with add ons in the summer to give swansea what they want and keep it under the FFP threshold
But we dont give 2 hoots for your problems under FFP. Thats your clubs issues. As per usual clubs trying to get players on the cheap as we are bigger. Simple pay whats asked or look elsewhere.
Yes but we dont do it because we haven't run our affairs properly and have already had sanctions against us because we have ****ed up. Simple if you cant afford look for a cheaper option. I am sure cardiff will let you have Kenwyne Jones, if that is all you can afford.
We can't ignore the FFP Rules because they affect the negotiation even if they don't matter to us. It has to be a factor. Paul has a point, every club negotiates but the bottom line is that we don't have to sell to survive. If no agreement is reached then fine.
They could always sell a vast number of players they have on their books that they have bought but never use over the years to stop other teams having them. Things have caught up with Man city now and they just cant go into the market and buy who they wish and its about time too...
Maybe, but we are getting jerked around because they are not in a position to buy. At the moment the deal is dead unless (a) we drop the asking price or (b) they get rid of some dead wood..
