Gunners’ chief Arsene Wenger revealed earlier today that he is looking to loan out the 21-year-old to another Premier League club for the second half of the season.

But the Frenchman’s destination won’t be Wearside with Gus Poyet ruling out a move for him.

Poyet is desperate to beef up his shot-shy attack during this month’s transfer window but Sanogo is not on his shopping list.

The Black Cats’ chief also claimed to be in the dark about Jozy Altidore’s proposed move to MLS outfit Toronto.

The Canadian club confirmed yesterday that the Sunderland flop is a transfer target but that’s news to Poyet.

“They seem to know more in America than me,” he said. “Right now, there has been nothing and Jozy is in the squad this weekend for the Liverpool game.”

Poyet has the luxury of a near full-strength squad tomorrow as Wes Brown and Billy Jones are available again.

With Lee Cattermole and Anthony Reveillere facing late fitness tests, the only definite absentee is Jack Rodwell who picked up a muscle injury during the 1-0 FA Cup win over Leeds on Sunday.

“Jack will train on Monday but apart from him, we are much better off,” added the Sunderland boss who has seen his side win just one league game at the Stadium of Light this term.

“There are a couple of things I will have to check on in the morning but everything is looking a lot healthier on the injury front.”

Really don't want Sanogo so this is good news imo!

Good, our loans should be used for someone who can make a difference, not taking a chance on someones youngster who's ****e.

    Thank god.

Loans for us should be starters, better than what we have maybe even out of our reach permanent signing wise.

So, someone's available, but we don't want him.

Today's news. There was no news today.

This is exactly what they should be. For our benefit, nobody else.

Any benefit for anyone else should be nothing more than a by product.

I'm sick of us developing players for Man U, Spurs etc. we need to rid ourselves of this short term scramble for "bargains", lets have our own team and bring some of our own young players thro'. Our neighbours up the road don't seem to have to rely on this system as much as we do, is it because they have a better scouting and development programme I wonder.

If Sanogo has not played for Arsenal, how do we know how good he is ?. I would take a chance on Poldolski now.
