Having a goalkeeper would be excellent news

Being an optimist I can see it being a 0-0 draw when the game kicks-off.
Ultra confident in a performance by the lads, that I have decided to drop all Chelsea players in my Fantasy Teams.

If you really analyse this comment you can detect a lack of confidence

I am 100% confident of it being 0-0 at kick off. I'd even put money on it. I'd go so far as to suggest that 50% of the final score will remain 0.

Frankly I think we will be lucky not to have conceded by kickoff

    I wouldn't play Krul.

He only returned to training this week. It's a game we're likely to lose even with our strongest 11. I'd hold him back for another week and bring him back for the Southampton game.

I'll be watching very closely for any sculldugery by the ball boys and the crowd for the first minute
to keep it at that score

Agree with this 100%. We are not looking at getting anything from this game so leave Alnwick in for his final game.

I'd have a whinge about the ball boys in my pre match press conference for sure. You can't pass up that kind of opportunity.

"I'm not sure about Jose's ballboys. I noticed there were some quite tall athletic looking ones and then a few quite small tubby ones. I think this is a deliberate attempt to unsettle us. We have been told the Cristiano lookalikes are for Chelsea, and the ones who resemble Chunk from the Goonies are ours."

<laugh> Its good to see some plain common-sense being written in this thread.
As with your good self, I too believe the score line will be Chelsea 0 Newcastle United ??
JC going out on a high no doubt.

There's no shame in going to Chelsea and being thrashed.
I've been twice and seen Ten Goals, admittedly we didn't contribute many, but it was a couple of good days out.

    3 - 1

I assume you mean out on a high as caretaker before taking on the full role. Howay we all know its coming. Its him or Howard Wilkinson.

I tell you who would make the worst manager of all time - Phil Neal. I went to a sportsman's dinner. He is the single worst after dinner speaker of all time. People were playing noughts and crosses ignoring him. Just the most boring **** of all time. I got a new perspective on turnip heed. It wasn't his fault afterall, it was that boring bastard Neal.

The best I've seen - Ruddock (just got lashed and told some great stories). Alan Kennedy was pretty good. The best though was Steve Kindon and Steve Daley. Self deprecating humour. Kindon in particular is a genius. If I was a manager I'd employ Kindon as my assistant. He'd be the best good cop ever.

Anything less than Five, really constitutes a High tbf, so before Carver steps up permanently at least he can only look at improving matters.
If Jak Alnwick plays it also gives him an opportunity to get a new number for goals scored against him, having had 3s and 4s, what's a 5 between friends.

Phil Neal, Turnip Heed, I wonder if he's related.:emoticon-0138-think

Best I've seen was Alan Ball, some cracking tales on the World Cup.

The best I've ever heard was Bill Beaumont. I am still chuckling to this day to some of his anecdotes.
