    Hmm, decisions decisions.
If they get the powers and no attack happens does this mean the powers worked or they were lying?
Conversley, if they don`t get the powers and an attack happens is it their fault for not protecting us?

Why is life so hard

Everything was great here right til you said the should should be able to shut down anything. The response time will never be minutes in a European city unless there are army checkpoints built on every road with barriers to drop

I called it needle in haystack at the start. That's what it is. You don't need to be fast, just need to not attract attention

Exactly, you could extrapolate this to whatever extent you choose- depending on how much you believe the mystical "they" are able to manipulate everything and everyone around them to their ends.
Like how you can believe the yanks faked a ten year programme involving over 400,000 scientists worldwide and billions of dollars to fabricate a few dodgy moon-landing photos. And managed to secure the co-operation of hostile Soviet authorities, and several independent monitoring sources to pull off their little bit of whimsy.
"They" are capable of whatever we want to believe they're capable of.
Like I said earlier, the danger of people getting their world view from Hollywood thrillers.

The straw that will finally break the camels back amongst the civilian population in countries attacked by militant redicalised muslims will be if they mange to kill thousands in one attack through poisoning water supplies, setting off a small nuclear dirty bomb, poison gas in crowded places etc.
Then the streets will flow with rivers of blood like the old dead racist Enoch Powell once said.

The fair peaceful minded Muslims within their communities need to be vigilant, honest and inform the authorities if they hear or see anything suspicious, none of us want what would amount to war on our streets and murder of innocents in our towns and cities but sadly things are heading in that direction.

'Kinell mate, there's a cheery thought for a Friday afternoon.

I make you right though, a major incident of that kind of level would be like winding the clock back to the 70's

Exactly. The broader Muslim community has to shake off suggestions of disloyalty towards their own who have become radicalised and see that the greater responsibility is to maintain peace.

It is a sad and horrible scenario but there would be a slaughter of innocent Muslims by none Muslims should any of the things I mentioned happened.

That's why the none radicals in their close knit communities should do more in my humble opinion.

The Police Chief investigating Charlie Hebdo has "committed suicide".

    Hmmm.

    Helric Fredoun the courageous policemen

Just over a year after Helric Fredoun discovered the lifeless body of
the third ranking police officer SRPJ of Limoges, the second ranking
service officer has committed suicide yesterday at his workplace with
    his service weapon.

We learned this morning, a Commissioner Helric Fredoun SRPJ Limoges has committed suicide last night in his office with his service weapon .

Information confirmed by his superiors. It is unknown at this time
the reasons for his actions. He would have killed himself that night or
in the early hours of the morning.

The Commissioner Helric Fredou aged 45 years was from Limoges began
his career in 1997 as a police officer at the regional office the
judicial police of Versailles, before returning to Limoges. He was
deputy director of the regional police service since 2012. His father
was a former police officer, his mother was a nurse in the emergency
context CHU Limoges. He was single and had no children.

According to the police union, Commissioner was depressed and experiencing burnout .

In November 2013, the Commissioner Fredou had
discovered the lifeless body of his colleague, the 3rd ranking police
officer of SRPJ Limoges, who had also committed suicide with his service
weapon in his office. He was also 44 years old.

The Commissioner Fredou, like all agents SRPJ worked yesterday on the case of the massacre at the headquarters of Charlie Hebdo .

In particular, he surveyed the family of one of the victims .

He killed himself before completing its report.

A psychological cell was set up in the police station.
