Our next home game is three weeks away and being broadcast on the telly. After seeing our club taking the piss again today, but fan power starting to take effect at Cardiff I think it's plainly obvious that we as Hull City AFC fans just aren't doing enough. 19:04 has lost it's effect massively. My suggestion is a silent protest up until that point, no singing, shouting or clapping up until that point. The reasons behind this are as follows: A. It's impossible to ignore on a fame being broadcast live. B. It will show that football without fans is nothing. Before the inevitable "the team needs our support" rubbish comes our, I'm sure they can deal without it for 19 minutes whilst we protect 111 years of history. Thoughts/suggestions? I'm open to other ideas, I just think we need to start doing something. Even if the FA rule in our favour next month, it doesn't look like the club are taking notice anyway.
'McShane for England' ? Be a bit difficult seeing he's Irish. And if you've been singing at 19.94 I'm not surprised it's been having no effect. Little tip, make yourself a banner and parade that against Newcastle. In fact contact NUFC supporters club, they must have loads of 'Pardew Out' banners left over.
At least it will stop the North stand from booing the West stand for not singing - if only for 20 minutes. How ironic.
Indeed, whilst our club continues to shove "Hull Tigers" down our throats. Despite the story of Cardiff City showing us how it'll all play out. Granted, relegation made Cardiff fans' jobs easier, but hopefully Hull City AFC fans will still be able to get a backbone whilst remaining in the Premier League.
If you want to organise a protest, organise it online. You know as well as I do you won't get anything approaching popular support in the ground for anything. Besides, tens of thousands of people seem to be suddenly interested in football in online petitions, tap into that!
Well yeah, cos there's nobody there. The next game's three weeks away. Hence why I'm posting it in this thread. If this falls flat on it's arse and doesn't get past this thread fair enough. I'm just sick of sitting back and watching ****s like you destroy this football club for no good reason.
Aha a super fan. Got ya. You should form a protest group, I'm sure they'll be knocking your door down. Don't forget to affect an angry online persona too. Kids today.
I'm not a super fan, I'm just a regular fan who wants his football club to continue existing. As I posted months ago though Hapoy, you jumped the shark ages ago. I don't even think you believe what you're saying any more (if you ever did). I shan't be responding to you any more on this thread.
Ahhh the good old laalaalaalaaIcanthearyou response beloved by those with no real argument. I'm also a regular fan who has seen his club almost disappear a few times and I'd rather not see that happen again. I firmly do not think a minor name change will cause it to disappear and I also firmly believe a shake up is needed in the English game. Using the crutch of history to maintain an appalling status quo and to keep teams like us in our place is not in my nature.
Yeah like ruining the atmosphere in the first 20 minutes of a home game and therefore handing the opposition an immediate advantage, when you're still in a relegation scrap sounds like an inspired piece of logic.
As I said in my opening post, it's 19 minutes out of 111 years. The issue of the very existence of our football club is bigger than one game or even one season. I don't think this would have any effect on our season whatsoever, but if it did. So be it.
north stand should be silent till the 20th minute indeed we're just a laughing stock of a club, doesn't help our status
