Just browsing tonight and reading a lot of negative conjecture tonight on this thread, l am putting this down to SAD; we are 4th, pushing third in the EPL; reading online about us being cash rich, pushing for Champions League, all positive stuff, living the moment and trusting the club to get the next transition right. So proud of where we are and where we came from not so long ago. No criticism implied of anyone; happy living the dream and looking forward to the game at OT.

 

Koeman's a great manager, but I think there are more experienced/better managers they would approach first.

Yeah no way Barca go for Koeman at this stage ffs. He is viewed as a flop as a manager in Spain after almost getting a good Valencia side relegated. Barca in recent times tend to go for people who know their system well (either coming through the ranks there or a member of the backroom staff). They changed that philosophy with Martino who was a bad appointment. Wouldn't surprise me at all if someone like Puyol got it

 

I think they will go for a big manager next time.

 

Agreed, they will feel the need to get a 'name' this time around.

 

Not sure how responding to some conjecture = not being delighted with and enjoying where we are. Quite the opposite, I'm just hoping that wave isn't going to be disrupted (again).

Am sure it will be at some point we fall over. But, hey, that's the baggage of being a Saints fan for all my life and my time, like others, goes back to Davies, Paine etc., etc., its a great time to be a Saints fan and getting such great feedback from fans of other teams for the style of our play and what the club has achieved.

Newcastle are in no hurry to replace Pardew...their stand in manager (no idea of his name) has been told to carry on and they will see how it goes.

Pardew says he was pleased with his time at Newcastle and pleased with the players, but it is a difficult job. He thinks Palace will suit him as he likes a challenge and is looking forward to the job. I think Newcastle may regret this...don't think Pardew was their only problem.
