    An update on the hospital visit -

    The operation took over 4 hours and they seem pleased with the result. The blood clot was about 4 inches long & blocking the circulation which was giving him all the problems. Lucky it was jammed. If it had got itself on the move the consequences don`t bear thinking about.

    We`ll know better in 24 hours but he`s looking canny. When he gets bored and stroppy it`ll be a good sign he`s on the mend.

    I passed on all your good wishes for which many thanks are returned. <ok>

    As far as we know his merge gland has not been affected but he will be giving it a thorough testing in due course.
