That comment is out of context, oneleedsonefaith.

It was in response to someone saying expectations had been raised by our good start, so I pointed out that we didn't have a good start.

Unfortunately Donald **** seems to have taken it upon himself to move everything I say into this thread, even if it puts it out of context.

Most of your arguments are out of context.

It pains me to say it but Brighton will finish above Leeds.

If only we'd got Gus and not Grayson.

In that case, I suggest you talk about something other than Grayson on other threads because sadly that seems the only topic you're capable of discussing. It derails threads and adds very little to them debate-wise that you can't just discuss on this thread. It might even make people think you're some sort of wind-up merchant.

Edit: in fairness, you did say yourself that you'd be happy for your Grayson comments to be kept on one thread so it didn't cause trouble. I'm not going to censor anything, I just suggest that if you want your posts to look like they're in context, you write them here so everyone's clear what they're about.

I know what my comments are and they are all in context in the place they are orginally posted.

Where it's relevant to talk about Grayson, I'll talk about Grayson. He is our manager so he is connected to most things at the club.

It's you moving my comments, so it looks like I'm having a random pop at Grayson in the Grayson Out thread, that makes me look like a WUM.

You've just moved that comment about Gus, which was in posted in the thread about Mackail-Smith moving to Brighton. Brighton have come much further under him than we have under Grayson, so I had every right to make that comment, and you have no right to dillute it by moving it in here and making me out to be some mad anti-Grayson rambler.

It's not diluted by being here, it can still be discussed and will no doubt be read by just as many people and would be replied to in the same manner as it would in the Brighton thread. Difference is that when you make a Grayson comment on other threads, they just end up like this one - a Grayson in/out argument. I'd rather keep that discussion to one thread than have others taken off topic. For the record - I'll move anyone's Grayson comments and not just yours.

To quote the great Run DMC, "it's like that, and that's the way it is".

The number of people that are just as abusive towards clive as I was before I ignored him is astounding. Really astounding!

Tell you what Clivey baby, if/when I move people's Grayson posts in the future, I'll add a little editor's note at the bottom saying which thread they were moved from. Then it doesn't look like anyone's a mad anti-Grayson rambler, perish the thought.

I understand that you don't want to see threads descend into off-topic arguments, but it's not my fault that people overreact to my comments.

I'm just speaking my mind and everything I say is relevant to the topic.

Being the manager, Grayson is connected to most topics. You can't just throw every negative, or perceived negative, comment about Grayson in here as if it's a piece of trash.

I have no problem with most of what you've moved here, but the comment about us having a poor start and the comment about Gus are in direct response to the threads they were posted in. When moved here they are taken out of context and make it look like I'm just making random negative posts which diminish my credibility.

With regards to Gus Poyet I actually agree with Clivetime! What he's done down at Brighton is nothing short of amazing. At a ramshackle ground like the Withdean was, with little or no money, the way they romped away with L1 was outstanding. & yet they're not content with that, they seem intent on pursuing a second consecutive promotion,& at this rate they'll be leaving us way behind.
Compared with how we limped over the finish line in the promotion season,on the resources Grayson had in comparison to Poyet,it puts Graysons acheivement very much in perspective.
Poyet was the brains behind his partnership with Wise,as was proved by the slump in results when he left,& I have no doubt had he stayed, eventually becoming Leeds manager in his own right, then we'd be in the PL by now.
Brighton's gain is very much Leeds United's loss.

If he has a quality season with Brighton he'll be off in a heartbeat, then where will Brighton be left? Probably sitting in the championship with a new stadium they can't fill, a mediocre manager and only prospects of relegation. The same would have possibly happened to us had Poyet been with us. Grayson is far less likely to leave even if he were to get an offer from a club higher up.

It's not as if Gus left us when he was the manager.

He left an assitant manager's post in League 1 for one in the Premier League. Who wouldn't do that?

    There's nothing wrong with ambition.

If Gus had made the same kind of progress with us as he did with Brighton we could have finished in the top half of the Prem.

Like I say, I'll make a note on moved posts to keep everything kept in context. I get that those posts were sort of on topic, but I have to act in the interests of the Leeds board and I believe that moving the posts to this thread is a lesser evil than leaving them be, which would most probably have resulted in the conversation being derailed. <ok>

If you're that worried then you should perhaps be firmer with the aggressive and abusive posters.

Maybe you should create a 'Clivetime Abuse' thread and throw all the off topic insults in there.
