Exactly. You can't seem to see the difference between casting aspertions on the actual case and defending the man himself. For the record Evans is obviously a complete horror, booking hotel rooms with the sole intention of getting a shag behind his girlfriends back and going 2nd on some random his mate picked up at a kebab shop. But it doesn't mean he can't have been the subject of a miscarriage of justice

I have no problem in anyone highlighting a possible miscarriage of justice. But offering a supposed tweet, a feeling, a bit of a video that looks to support what his website are claiming (funded by his millionaire father in law), not the whole video mind, that shows the bits they obviously didn't want anyone to see (his website actually illegaly put up parts of the video btw) does not constitute hard facts. The jury found him guilty on the evidence shown to them. His appeal failed after yet more judges looked at the case and saw no reason to overturn the conviction. We have heard from Ched, Cheds PR team, Cheds girlfriend, we have seen video of Ched looking sad and holding a puppy, we have heard from Ched in-laws and family (his Auntie doesn't support his claims) and every Tom, Dick and Harry on the subject. Internet rolls on both sides have got involved and the girl has moved 5 times because of harrassment from people outing her on the internet. The law found that she had been raped. By Ched Evans.
The problem as I see it is that it is the silly money football players get paid that allowed the whole incident to happen. Football players seem to think they are above the law & their money gives them a right to do anything. Many young women (of low intelligence) aspire to be WAGS Football players like the attention their fame & fortune brings & the potential perks. Whatever the actual facts of this case (I'll work on the legally accepted guilty of rape for now), had Ched not been a football player splashing his cash, getting the attention from these young women then the situation would never have arisen. Is it now right to allow him back into the lifestyle which allowed the incident to happen in the first place ? Personally I do not belirve it is & I also feel it sends out the wrong message allowing kids to hero worship a convicted rapist
Pipe down bellend. The information is held on american servers and not the UK. Our laws regarding naming victims do not apply and thus this trial is of interest to law students over there. The name will be removed. However it's fair to point out while she was boasting aboyt winning big on her open and public twitter account, that she didnt give a flying **** who saw it. And the fact shes changed her name 5 times? I very much doubt cheds followers are part of MI5/6 so it begs the question, how do they keep finding her.
Having Having worked for NOMS for many years I can count on one hand the number of offenders whove had their sentences quashed. Usually its reduced to a lesser charge or based on a technicality. All the evidence was examined by the police, the CPS, the jury and the judge (who could have ordered the jury to return a not guilty verdict if he felt a conviction was unsafe) and they all decided that Evans had non consensual sex (rape) with her. In the eyes of the law, he is a rapist.
I wouldn't be comfortable with him playing for us but the law is the law, he is a footballer and can go back to work even if it is distasteful. People can't go around making their own laws and passing judgements no matter how much they disagree with the legal system.
My sentiments exactly. If he was a Champions league top scorer no club would be turning him down. (and he'd probably have never been charged)
