With our top scorer leaving, perhaps Monk will copy Sampdoria's attacking formation .... https://mobile.twitter.com/bbc606/status/552221329085440001/photo/1
I'll be gutted if he goes. Prefer if he went in the summer but £30m or more is nothing to be sniffed at.
The Sun is saying Bony is demanding 200,000£ a week and another media outlet says he's accepting a cut rate of 75 ,'000 £ a week to play for Man City .... gotta love the media -transfer relationship ..lol
I'll be sorry to see Bony go but,£30 million is huge.Give us the money City,we'll find another,we always do Swansea Till I Die
Daily Record now saying the fee has been agreed with the deal going through in three weeks time. I'm not too happy about that - certainty on any deal has to give us time to undertake our own transfer activities and an injury to Will in the ACN could scupper the move. If it's agreed do the deal or no deal.
Word has it that Bony is already on 55k a week with us,so 75k seems an unrealistic figure. Seemingly our strict wage structure has gone out of the window recently, most players signing new contracts with increased wages. No wonder 70% of our income goes on salaries. It will be sad to see Bony go,not least for his defensive capabilities,he's been our best defender at times,on top of his scoring prowess, and he will be a big miss. I hope some of the profit will be used to expand the stadium and help keep out the dodgy investors, and not get sidelined for shareholder bonus. The stadium expansion is now almost a year overdue,Phase 1 should have been completed for this season, and we've gone from originally having the money set aside,to now looking for outside investment to fund it. Could it be that player wage increases and annual directors bonuses have eaten into this money and deferred the expansion? Extract from "asbriplanning" document - Phase 1 will comprise of work to the East stand providing an increase in capacity of 3,844 by the 2014/15 season (21,600 to 25,444); Phase 2 will comprise of work to the North-East and SouthEast stand corners providing an increase in capacity of 4,718 by the 2015/16 season (25,444 to 30,162); Phase 3 will comprise of work to the North and South stands providing an increase in capacity of 3,838 after season 2015/16 (30,162 to 34,000).
Like what you say about Wilf but I doubt any significant ground development will happen. The infrastructure around the ground will be used by the politicians and police to ensure that doesn't happen. An alternative would be to bring in investors to build our own ground and leave the Liberty for the Ospreys. Possible sites would be several along or just off the A483, off the Clydach Road in Swansea Vale, The old British Steel Felindre site.
He would still be in Africa in 3 weeks time, so surely the move has to be signed off before the tournament starts?
Felindre ,unless theres a massive change of minds is being developed for an Enterprise park and more housing to the west of the development Theres been a huge objection to a solar panel farm to the north of the site so I wouldn't be surprised if there were objections tif it was proposed we moved there ,along with poor access to the site another soulless out of town build with no local connections to the Club. Build perhaps it on the proposed sale site of the County Hall ,now that would be an idea , nearly back to where the Club belongs .
The three week delay is all about injury in africa. Both club teams finances are being held at ransom in a way by national play.A sort of russian roulette to who takes the chance for the next month.
