Not sure what pitbull puppies look like, but a lot of people mistake the 'Pig' for a younger dog. She's whats known as a 'teacup staffy'
    and is 6 years old.A really nice dog,mad as **** <laugh>

Do you really have a pitbull? not sure if serious

When I was in Houston my good mate had a pit bull that looked like your staffy, his name was Harley and he used to wear a red bandana, he wasn't trained for fighting and he never had his ears cropped.

He was as friendly as a puppy and the poor feller died a few years back, in true American tradition he had a funeral and was buried in a pet cemetery.<cry>

That dog does not look like a pure bred staffy, it looks a lot more like a pitbull than a staffy. My friend had an amstaff, which is basically a show bred pitbull, and your dogs head looks similar to that.

How big is your dog? If it's considerably heavier than 15kg and taller than 40cm from the bottom of the neck then i doubt it's a staff.

No worries if it is a pitbull though, my friends pit was as friendly as anything. His kids used to jump all over her, and she was as good as gold with them. If you treat them well there good loyal dogs.

I would get one myself, but I wouldn't want to risk having the dog confiscated. I have a Doberman at the moment. I've had staffys though when I was younger:biggrin:

The 'Pig' isn't very big at all,no idea of her weight. But she is a rescue dog that's come through trusted people who know their stuff.
We got her at about 6 months old and she sleeps with my daughter always. They are like sister's,and the pig will obey any command
    she is given.
Wether their staff's or pitbulls they will be great dogs if treated well........bad dogs come from bad people.

One possibility that was suggested was she could have some Jack Russel in her (nose and ears).

    We'll never know for sure

Oh right, she is probably not a pitbull then if she's not very big, though I wouldn't fully rely on any kennels to be able to filter out any pitbull types they get. My friends Amstaff came from a rescue centre, so it does happen. He thought she was just a big staff, until we searched up photos as I was convinced she was a pit bull.

I agree though, Pitbulls and staffs are friendly dogs. Unfortunately because of there power they attract a lot of idiots as owners, which gets the breeds a bad name.

My Doberman is a lot more aggressive to strangers, than either of the 2 staffys I had. My staffys where so friendly, they'd of made useless guard dogs:biggrin:
