Sounds like a poor double-act on stage!But,Mr Hackett has a number of good quotes when he was critical of that ***ker referee Marriner's appalling standards in his handling of Man.City v Everton when Mr Hackett was with a group of FIFA officials from Nigeria at the game.We,as SAFC fans,know how crap a referee Marriner is,so,when will someone from our own FA do something about it??The fans know how bad he is,the ex-referees boss knows how bad he is,so when will someone in authority do something about it?
Never. He was fast tracked as one of their best and they ain't gonna criticise they're own. Whether Hackett defended him or not anybody who knows anything about football, inc wives/girlfriends and the offside rule, knows the bloke is incompetent.
Seems like never. The worse they are, the more famous referees become, something wrong somewhere. There seems little incentive to be any good.
He was. iirc he was hailed as one of the new, younger breed, top of the line refs. They`ll never admit he`s rubbish and they made a right pigs ear of things.
