Yep, it's not the worst thing in the world and the Mirror have reported it in a way to make it look as bad as possible. As Beefy said this was done before a match where we played Sheffield united and obviously designed to wind up their fans, but the article paints it to be some random show of support for Ched Evans which i'm sure was not the intention. We all have opinions about whether it's funny or not and how far into the realms of bad taste this ventures, but I don't think the intention is as vicious as some believe.
So we can't blame alcohol.....we agree they were silly.....so one or maybe all were sober when masks were printed and photographed for social media, for all we know they might all be teetotal? So what do you reckon?....lock them up? ban them from games? or put it down to a stupid social media prank?...social media is a location where a lot worse atrocities have been freely published than what these silly lads put out there. I say ban social media or deport them to North Korea.
Beefy's right, every club has idiots like these. Suggesting it might be Pompey fans is just silly, but in a similar situation I wouldn't be surprised if some of our ne'er do wells pulled a similar stunt. It's obvious that one of them has printed them off, bought them to the pub on matchday and handed them round before they all got on the bus or train up to Sheffield.
