It looks like Bony is off to Man City for £30m, it's a big blow for Swansea, though a decent return on their investment. There's also rumours this afternoon, that Chelsea have bid £250m for Messi(and Cech is off to AS Roma)
I think £250m is actually Messi's release clause. I know Anzhi offered £204m a couple of years ago, which was his release clause at that time.
Cahill isn't any good any more. He hardly made an impact this season, I can't tell you how many games I watched where I forgot he was even on the field. He would be great to have to teach our midfielders how to play but he is far below our standard now.
Sure I have watched him play a lot. I'm sure we could get him if we put in a bid, I doubt he would be available on loan. He is a really good MLS player, I am not sure he would be anymore than a squad level guy for us though. I am not sure he could handle the speed of the PL but if we were looking at MLS players I do imagine he would be on the scouting list. Here is a highlight video of him.

SSN reporting that Derby and Cardiff are looking @ Chesterfield striker Eion Doyle(age 26) who is rated in the £1m/£2m area. Maybe not in your world Tickles but Fletcher is a has been, the type of player that would have been purchased during our first period in the PL, on a massive wedge and would simply stroll through games. He can't get into the Man Utd first eleven for a reason, and it's not because he's still a youngster with lots to learn.
